Went out with Tb, Mk and Hx to watch a movie, "Mall Cop"

A movie that made me laughed and forget about my worries. I worry for almost anything like meeting new friends, not able to use the computer, no money etc.

At first, it started off with this plump guy having no confident in himself. But later on in the story, he managed to save a girl from a mall incident and the girl fell in love with this plump guy. A simple, yet hilarious movie that I rate it a 4.3 over 5.

This movie also includes professional skaters and bikers that spice up the whole movie to the next level. I mean, do you often seen robbers performing stunts professionally just to steal credit card code?

And I think, bikers and skaters are people whom you shouldn't mess with. Much more they are professional ones. The normal ones usually hit you and gang up on you while the professional ones asked others to do it for them. They give me the very scare feeling I guess.

Anyway, after the movie, went to my house and play Heroes III. They also played with Timothy who showed them all his abilities. Like climbing mount Everest, taking on Great wall of China and driving a Honda car like the one below.

Can someone adjust Timothy's shirt? The left side stripe obviously overturn.

And then it was today. We went jogging and it was shiok! I lost 5kg like those fake advertisement you seen on TV where they show the before and after. Mine is the genuine one because I ran 6 rounds of a stadium which means

6*400km = 2.4km HOR!

I am terribly guilty about my jogging routine last week. I sort of ran 1.2km under the super hot sun and was feeling very dizzy. I immediately stopped as I knew I've reached my limit. Since I was pitying my very own "failed jogging routine", I decided to eat Laksa at night and this totally cancels out my exercise. It might even add on to the weight ultimately!

So I am actually quite proud of myself for the effort. But guess what? My mum bought me fried rice for late dinner and I am telling myself that Laksa is worse than fried rice already, so fear not. I guess I easily tricked myself with my self-denial.

Steamboat, Left 4 Dead, The Unborn.

The chalet of E35D had reduced to a simple steamboat cum movie session at Bugis. Though it mainly consists of Teresa, Yuenky, Sherman, Marcus, Lester(MIA) and me, which coincidentally formed the cheapo gang because each and everyone of us shared the same trait of being extremely cheapo. (please don't deny)

I met teresa first at JE and without fail, she's later than ever. Initially, we were supposed to meet at JE at 6:30pm so that we can reach Bugis at 7:00pm. (Which I think is impossible)

Teresa told me: Don't need so early one lah, you think they will reach so early meh?

Me, the early bird: Erm, we shouldn't let them wait for us. I bet sherman will be the first to reach. Remember the last time?

Teresa recalling...: heh :P
Teresa: Ok then, we meet at 6:45pm lor

Me, the best person on Earth: Ok then, but you don't be late please?

In the end, she's late for 7 mins 53 seconds and she insisted that she's only late for 5 mins 85 seconds. I told her that there is no such things as 85 seconds and she just smile and adjusted her hair a bit. By the way, how is it possible to reach Bugis from Jurong East within 15 mins?

When we reached there, Yk, marcus and sherman gave the "Tsk-ing" face like this hasn't been the first time we were late. The problem is that they were right because whenever you are with Teresa, you can't be early with her usual influences that reaching early will make her feel stupid for waiting.

We walked over to the steamboat restaurant and I came all prepared for it! I drank milo for breakfast and had no lunch at all just to make myself starve and make sure that I utilise every cent of it. I guess the rest were the same because we are the "cheapos" but surely they will deny it.

Left to right: Yuenky, Teresa, Marcus and Sherman

Yuenky bought a new camera and she will be in charge of taking photos but the owner of the steamboat restaurant stomped forward and warned Yk that photo taking of food is not allowed while taking pictures of your friends and others is okay.

But teenagers being our age are rebellious. When you say cannot take pictures of food, we will still do it.

(This part onwards not true)
Yuenky immediately stood up in a rage with her chair being pushed out by the back of her knees. She reason with the owner that what if she accidentally take her friend's photo and in the photo it contains food? The owner rolled his eyes so hard that you can only see the white thingy without the pupil. "Then delete it, duh~" the owner replied.

Yuenky was furious. She is angry not because of the deleting of photos but at the "duh~" used behind his sentence. She had a phobia of people using "duh" because when she was young, her best friend said it to her and she accidentally killed her out of anger. Now that the owner said the magical word, he's done for it.

And so, Yuenky held up the hot bubbling pot of soup high up in the sky and we all knew that she is going to pour it over the owner but she suddenly stopped as if she was possessed and put the pot down back to the original spot. She curbed her hands like this:

and begin splashing the hot water at the owner without fearing that the hot water might scald her. The owner died eventually because of the horror that Yuenky imposed. Out of curiosity, I asked Yuenky what is her motive of her change of plan and she said that if she had poured the whole pot of soup over the owner, then there will be no soup left for steamboat.

We carried on with the steamboat with the owner dead beside our table. We took a picture of him because he said it's okay to take pictures of people and not food.

Let me put a picture up again so that you can imagine their actions when you read it. Left to right: Marcus, Sherman, Me, Yuenky and Teresa.

When Teresa heard that Yuenky had bought a new camera, she patted a hand across her chest with the "Heng ar" kind of feel as if she went shopping and saw a much discounted price of a handbag that cost 50 percent more last time.

She mumbo-jumbo some chants and put her camera back into her bag with her hands raising high up in the sky and shouted "YAY! I am FREE". Everyone turned and look at her as if she was really "free". She was shocked and placed a hand over her mouth pretending to be startled and adjusted her hair a little to avoid embarrassment.

When Yuenky saw Teresa doing the "adjusting-hair-to-avoid-embarrassment-poise", Yuenky asked her how she do it so naturally. Teresa replied like a matter of fact that this requires experience and they begin exchanging their techniques over small talks.

When it was time to take photos, Sherman seemed especially excited and Teresa was quick to notice these small changes. Sherman adjusted his hair a little to his right so that everything goes in place. Teresa saw it and immediately felt a tinge of jealousy over Sherman, who copied her arrangement of hair parting that he learned so quickly. Teresa felt that he must have been eavesdropping over the exchangement of techniques with Yuenky.

Marcus, who had been eating three prawns silently, began to eat his fourth but it dropped so suddenly that he felt pity for it because he had been peeling the shells off so carefully. Marcus asked Teresa what's the fuss about copying hair arrangements but Teresa felt that this was a serious matter because the technique can only be passed to girls as it was a forbidden technique. (She said this in a soft voice to make it sound like a forbidden technique)

Sherman excuse himself and for a moment and we thought he was suicidal material. He came back with a botak(number 1) and snatched Marcus's fifth non-shelled prawn to eat it. Sherman, who had allergy against prawns, demanded more prawns and poor Marcus had to keep peeling off the shells of the sixth, seventh, number eight he ate it himself without anyone noticing because he really cannot "tahan" anymore, and ninth shells of the prawns.

While all this is happening, Teresa felt amazed because Sherman had gotten his retribution of learning the forbidden technique. She knew that this will be happening because she read a book called "Little Red Riding Hood" and she love the part about the girl who got eaten up by the wolf.

Teresa continued soaking her raw beef in the soap while doing the correct swaying of hair to the sides. Marcus ate his tenth prawns. Yuenky keep placing her fingers into the soup without using the ladle to stir the soup. Sherman was so emo that he planned to use emoticons in every letters of every conversation in MSN from now onwards.

(End of abnormality?)

When we were full, we Cab to Cineleisure to buy tickets for the movie "The Unborn". We were supposed to meet Lester here but he said he is going to his Grandma house or he is accompanying her Gf or or he only meeting us after that for Hotel 81 (which we cancelled). Anything you choose to fill up his absenteeism.

At here, I was talking to Teresa while she was busy adjusting her hair and not listening to me. From the corner of Teresa face, I saw someone waving at me, signalling me to look over at "her". I looked at her and finally noticed her horrendous make-up. She is not exactly a "she" because the normal being wouldn't do that.

She said to me "Come to me baby, I wanna sell you oranges". No lah, actually she didn't said that but because she had a big breast which I guess she must have been putting orange at the right and mango on the left as it seemed unbalanced. When asked why she didn't put oranges on both side, I can only guess that the market had sold out of oranges.

Yk's newly bought camera suddenly became detective spy cams that zoomed 8x to allow us to see the irregularities of her breast and people might thought it was breast cancer.

Not to forget how "openly" she walked with her legs apart like you open up a pair of scissor. Her black stockings, (according to Yk), Her black panty hose, (according to me), gives the extra s***y look that she matched it against her bright pink shoes. P/s: s***y refers to silly or sally.

We also saw a uncle with a hello kitty pink bag that has a cat meowing sound coming out from it. We suspected that he must be those psychotic killers that kidnapped small kittens to cook curry with.

A tad, filmsy as Yk was busy hearing the sounds that is coming out from the bag, mimicking the look of the Pocahantas placing a hand at the ear, listening to the sounds of the waterfall.

After that, we played Left 4 Dead at the 9th floor and because this was yuenky's virgin play at L4D, she just stood there and let the hunter or boomer pull her or explode on her without any struggle.

We did not know how to create game and so we split up into 3:2 to play the campaign mode.

After that, we went into the theatre and watched "The Unborn"

We thought this movie was NC16 or above because the poster shows a girl with panties but it was rated PG which I think it's a bit too "loose".

Not forgeting the fact that an over-powered character that was shown in the trailers with his head truning 360 degree and movement like Ju-on. I was overjoyed to find him, pronounced as "Ee Lye".

Hello, I can twist my head. Before that, I am a stroke patient that is paralysed from the waist down but after being cursed by devils, I can move around and scare people!

The movie is okay and I will rate it 4/5.

After that, share a cab home with Marcus as the Teresa went home with her Bf. Luckily I paid $10 only and Marcus was kind enough to pay the rest :) (I doubt the total taxi fare will be $23.40 by the time he reach his house)

All walks of life

The initial plan today was to go to Mk's house but my sis asked me to help her with work. I lazily woke up from my bed nest and took a bath to make myself fresh for the day. I was greeted by a thunder when I was entering the bathroom. I quickly closed all the windows in the house fearing that a thunderstorm might be on its way.

When I left the house in a rush, I became agitated immediately because I hate travelling in the rain. Not forgetting the fact that I hate walking to the nearest MRT station. Adding both together became a huge annoyance to me.

When I reached the MRT platform, a train goes by with the message "Please do not board the train at platform A". Then seconds later, another train came and there were lots of seats in it. "I must be super lucky" I thought.

When the train is approaching Clementi, I received a call from my sis that the venue had changed to Bukit Panjang instead of Redhill. I gave up my seat reluctantly and a jumbo size girl came rushing at it with great speed, fearing that another seat snatcher might win her at this. I turned back in shocked as if I never done that before.

I made a de-tour back to Jurong East platform to board the middle train towards Marina bay side. When the train finally came, the message that I heard from before sounded again except that it was "Please do not board the train at the middle platform... Blah blah servicing.. blah blah." with a male voice.

Upon hearing that message, some of the commuters back off while others begin doing their own stuff like pressing their cellphones and such. The most ridiculous one I saw made me remembered her vividly with the rest of my life.

She was those typical aunties with hair tying in an anyhow fashion. She wore a red T-shirt, believing that red colour can help her in being lucky to snatch a priority seat in the MRT train. She also had the sulkiest face as if the whole world owes her a dollar. She begin sulking her face inwards and made the loudest "TSK....." (dragging), accompanied by the reflex action of shutting her eyelid. I thought I even heard some swearing words.

But why is she so angry? Is she in a rush of time?

I quickly turned 180 degrees to avoid her seeing me laugh. Her expression over such minor incidents made me want to laugh out loud. If I can do something to annoy her further, I would run over to her front and make an "Orbi Quek" action! I guessed she would be intolerable and push me into the MRT track.

While there were some free time as my sis have not reached yet, I went to the library and grab a book to read. This must be the angel side of me as I am not a reader if I had the free time. The problem with me is that I read too slow that it kills my free time.

I guess the above picture described me perfectly. I would prefer watching a movie or anime if you want to get your message across to me faster. Reading a story or mangas requires more time to absorb and it can sometimes never get across me while time is still wasted.

Happy Birthday MK!
(the above acronym stands for monkey. Psst, don't tell him ok?)

So yah! As I was wishing happy birthday to Mk, I suddenly came to realisation that he might read my blog especially when his birthday is over and he wants to know if I got say anything bad about him. Such Paranoia~ Tsk.

It suddenly dawn on me that he will be entering army soon and I will be the last one of the gang to go in. When I finished my studies, I will most likely envy Tb and Hx who had already completed their NS because I know it will be a harsh period of my life. By then, Mk will be half way through NS already! Wow! I am thinking so far.

Anyway, Happy birthday to Mk lah. This must be the most spoken phrase in the entire year where I can repeat non stop like a kind of spoiled tape recorder. I told the strangers in Dota that today is Mk's birthday and force them to wish him happy birthday. When I meet up with Mk today, I said happy birthday again. Later after this blog entry, I must sent him an email, Sms or Msn before today end, to wish him happy birthday again.

Although I may think that my actions is acted based on my sincerity, but I guess it came to a stage of annoyance if I kept doing it without any purposes. However, birthday is only valid for a day so there is no reason for him to reject me and say me that I am very noisy. On normal days, I will wish you happy birthday meh?

And so we celebrated his birthday with some causal meeting up session. I passed him his present and I hope he likes it. If he don't likes it, he also mustn't tell me, or I will snatched it back from him and I will give it to myself.

We went to cyberdome to play dota and Left 4 dead. To be honest, I prefer to be the zombies attacking the players in L4d. I feel nothing when I was a zombie because no matter how horribly they killed me with their excellent shooting skills, I can just re spawn and press Tab to see how much damage I dealt to the players.

However, being a player is too much for me. I cannot bear to see myself being bitten from behind and when I turn around to swing it off, another comes along and bite me from the front. Also, I am not those adventurous type that will lead the way and therefore I am always left behind by my teams. They often blocked me when a horde of zombies came rushing in and I ended up shooting my own friends.

There was also a time when I was camping at a corner waiting for my friends to alert the hordes, near the lift. I thought I can relax and dig some nose cause they are all in front of me getting ready at the door where the hordes of zombies will enter. Then the side wall suddenly break and in came the zillions of zombies who didn't enter normally through doors!

I must have been shocked and rooted to the ground (not me, but the player I am controlling) The zombies kept biting me while I anyhow fired and I must have been killing the innocents around me, which they are trying to rescue me!

As I see myself being bitten by the piling death beings, I could not do anything but slowly see myself reduce to a bloody mess where my body loses a piece of meat every seconds. If this is true, I must have commited suicide even before I go on such adventures or whatever zombie killing, you say.

While, after the horrible lan session, we took a cab to IMM and had Fish&Co. Other pictures is with Hx, who has bought a new camera.

So anyway mk, hope you can enter army into the desired spot or venue you always wanted. I also hope that you can strike a toto or 4D! (Just a hope though, don't over indulged!)

Update: Happy birthday to Mk's bro whos birthday is tomorrow!

Happy Birthday to Timothy Foo Toon Fu!
(1 year old hor!)

In this special day, we brought him to Swensen to celebrate his birthday. No matter how much toys and plushies we shown him, his greatest interest lies in food only. He ate ice cream cake, salmon, mushroom soup, bubble tea and many more. His dad even bought him toy cars although we all know he prefers food!

He doesn't know how to blow the candle.

His favourite bread. If you snatched it from him, you die!

Happy family.

I've compiled the best pictures of Timothy taken from months to months. This shows the life stages of him when he was born to his first birthday. Enjoy.

I love the october one the most. Can become my desktop background :)

FYP Team and Classes for 2009 out!!!

Omg!, it's out already.

For FYP team allocation Click here!

For 2009 classes Click here!

On one hand, I felt excited because I will be same class in one of the module with Zakia and Andy. On the other hand, I need to attend 3 different classes which is my first time doing so. I hope I will not messed up with the schedules.

For FYP, Teresa and her friend, choosie, will be in the same team as me. We will be doing the theme "Research: Google" led by our supervisor, Jerry Lim, who is my last year PHP facilitator. I hope we didn't choose the wrong theme as I am really noobish at PHP.

On a side note, Tb went Genting with his family members. Hope that his journey will be a save one. While Mk's birthday is just next Monday and he will be working today. Hope that his job today will not be tiring.

Hx will be booking out later and we had agreed to go to a Adidas sale held at Expo with my sis driving us there. Heard that the sale can go up 70% OFF! Must go!

Not forgeting that Timothy's one year old birthday is just one day ahead of Mk's birthday!

300th posts!

Yesterday was a terrible day. My Internet wasn't stable at all thanks to the mini tornado that swiped across my region a few days ago, causing several trees to fall off. I don't know I actually have a naturalist in me that I looked at the fallen trees and felt pretty sad inside. Perhaps I felt sorry for them because they must have been there for at least a century.

Yesterday I went over to Tb's house. Travelling to his house had been made easier with the newly-built MRT station. (Pioneer and Joo Koon) It was just opposite to his flat and I was so jealous!

Imagine a normal day to school. You brush your teeth, bath, wear clothes and not forgetting to wear pants. Then you just go opposite and take a MRT to school. On the train, you sleep like nobody business because these new stops should not have too many people aboard and you can easily find a seat. If you feel like seating on priority seat, then you just seat on it and leaned to the glass panel until it break.

But sadly, the newly built MRT has it's disadvantage too. It can screwed up people's normal schedule. They must be thinking that since the MRT is just opposite, they can leave their house at 9:59am when they are meeting their friends at 10:00am. YOU DON'T KNOW ONE LAH.

And so I went over to Tb's house and passed him a few things. Then I used his computer to do an urgent email. When it was about 4:45pm, we went to JP to meet Mk. We bought the tickets for the movie "Coming Soon". It has been a long time since we last watched movies together.

Coming Soon

Hmmm. What should I say about this movie?

The title is pretty interesting. Imagine you are telling your friend to watch a movie. "Let's watch the coming soon movie". They might think you are referring to the movies that are coming soon.

Or, or you looked at the movie poster and you saw the word "Coming soon" and you thought that this movie is not out yet, when actually it is the movie title itself.

If you have watched Shutters, Alone and 4bia then you shouldn't miss this movie because they are all directed by Sophon Sakdaphisit.

The above poster shows "Chaba" who is a women that loves to gouge the eyes of small children believing they were their own. The villagers found out and hanged her. Chaba remembered the faces of those that hanged her and seek revenge. However, there is a twist to this story and you have got to watch it on your own.

This "Chaba" also popped out randomly like most horror movies did. But there's this scene where she popped out to scream "DO YOU REALLY WANT TO SEE ME DIE?" I felt like replying "YES!"

Besides that, the setting of this horror movie is at a cinema in Thailand I guess. The Thailand cinema certainly looked like the GV cinema. With such coincidence, the theatre in the movie was 3 and the GV theatre that we watched in was 3 as well.

Anyway, after the movie we went Sakura. I had only breakfast that day and a bread in the afternoon because I knew I was going buffet at night. Super kiasu, I know.

I noticed they have added nyonya food which nobody take because they made you feel full. At the entrance, they also put a fake Yue Niang figure holding the nyonya food. They must be giving us the idea that the food is prepared by Yue niang personally. Then she will received commission when the food is sold out due to popular demands. But sorry, it's not.

To my amazement, the fake figure also appeared at OSIM massage chairs.

Counter Blog entry!

Hi Teresa, I have read your recent entry and know that you are very busy. (Flea market just over, high fever and flu, Bintan trip)

I managed to came across this note:

Many things not done yet! Esp the chalets! I have not yet collect the money so can ask weijian to book. AHHHHHH.
Note to self: Must be done by latest next friday!

Adapted from Teresa's blog

Although I don't understand what's with the "AHHHHHH" but I presumed it must be tiring and painful for you.

So the thoughtful me and Yuenky decides to help you out a little by making things easier for you and everyone else.

After some heated discussion on the MSN, we felt that it wouldn't be fair for those who are not coming or just come on the first day to pay for the expenses of the chalet thingy.

We also came across the topic of not meeting up frequently and this might caused embarrassment especially ever since we all left E35D and move on with our own clique.

So... The chalet had been cancelled!

But me and Yuenky felt that a meeting is still a must and so we came up with yet another plan instead.

We can book a family size hotel at Hotel 81 (near town area) and roamed around the city like zombies. We can also go geylang to eat. It will be great if Lester can book a 7 seater car to bring us around with his license. We can still catch up with one another despite our hectic schedules. Treat it as a small getaway gathering and enjoy ourself for that day to the maximum!

Finally better.

Did I say I recently sent my fujitsu notebook for repair?
Did I also say that Timothy learn a new skill?
Did I say that today is Friday the 13th?
Did I say I went Kbox?

Guess this is what happened when I forget to blog about it. My brain became uneasy, filling up with stuffs like these. I knew I had to let it out in the form of blogging. However, it's not a lot but at least I can brag about something while I am at it.

Firstly, my fujitsu notebook. I was happily watching my "Miss No Good" DVD. I was at the last piece of disc; last episode, when the laptop hanged abruptly. I was shocked!, not because of the sudden hanging of the lappy, but because it was the most interesting part of the drama. (I was determined to finish the last 6 episodes that day!)

I need to say that "Miss No Good" is really a must-watch because I actually cried 5 times. Seldom can I watched a drama and cry stupidly alone. It's like so natural where by the tears fell off like a stream of river.

Anyway, the laptop hanged and showed a panicky Rainie's face at the airport looking for Wilber Pan. Still in the state of shock, I anyhow press the keypad and hope that it will magically un-hang. (got such word?) When all else fail, I decide to off it manually.

When I tried to on it again, it doesn't respond. I begin to recall the times when this kind of situation happened before when I was in school. I remembered I let it rest for awhile before I on it again and it worked, but not this time. It shows a locked sign on the bar and later I checked it out on the net and I supposed it was a BIOS lock or some sort.

And so I sent my laptop to fujitsu. I got a number tag and I think I wasted their paper because there was no one except me at the counter. The one that served me was a very young pretty lady. To be honest, I thought she was just a receptionist but she actually asked for my laptop.

I was thinking why she needed my laptop. She can't be possibly repairing it for me. To my horror, she examined my laptop like a professional and I kept thinking about how am I going to explain the cause of it. She handed me a slip of paper and said that I can collect it within two working days.

I asked her with a face of puzzlement, "How you know what is wrong with my laptop?". She replied in a matter of fact that I can't on the laptop is the root of the problem. I opened my mouth in awe as if thousands of flies must have flew in.

That's very efficient and a bit of biasing on my side. I thought the servicing of laptops should be done by a guy but I didn't know Fujitsu can actually find a young pretty lady who can be both servicing and receptionist. Anyway, she also helped me took out the disc that was stucked inside.

Not to forget I was under warranty so that means everything is free of charge. Fujitsu's service is also very good and their staffs are polite. Plus 10 points!

Lately, Timothy learned a new skill like Pokemon did. Slowpoke can learned Tail whip while Tim learned head shake. He will shake his head and became dizzy by his own shaking. He will also laugh because he seen illusions after the shaking. Talking about crazy babies...

Well, the thing about Friday the 13th reminds me of the time when a group of malays stole my handphone at the basketball court. They scattered in all direction with some of them on bicycles passing my handphone around to confuse me. I cleverly catch one of them and forced them to return or I will call the police.

In the end, they did return but the basketballers called the police already. I quickly get back my phone and run away from the scene. HA!

Lastly, went Kbox with Tb and sis. Found out that 3 person is a just nice number to sing because everybody gets the chance to sing an adequate amount of time. 2 people is boring while 4 people is orgy LOL.

Good night!

Locked

I was walking on the street, trying my very best, not to sweat while walking under the hot sun. When I came upon this brown-beige cat, I begin to tease it by making the human meow sound. It didn't move but it's eyes started looking at me from side way without moving it's head!

At that particular moment, I felt how insignificant I was to a cat! Even a cat don't even bother to acknowledge my presence and neither do I be regarded as a threat to it.

Now, I am getting angry at a cat by rolling up my sleeves like the actors in drama when they are angry. (I wonder why they have the time to roll up their sleeves.) Just moments later, I received an emergency message from my sis.

It says...

Warning.. Don't go Blk 108 cut hair for this week.. Kelly went overseas.. So her daughter will be taking over..

I trembled with fright as I recalled the scene regarding the criticism about the skill of Kelly's daughter in hair cutting. I was planning of a hair cut this week but since the warning message came along, I shall push it further or I might lose a ear due to "her" skills.

Timo is going to be 1 years old soon and I am so happy for him. Though he doesn't know what ages meant to him but it definitely excites me when your nephew is becoming older day by day. From crawling to standing, I've seen it all and it's just so amazing to see and watch him grow.

Whenever we went to shopping centres, he will be looking out for those machines where you need to insert one dollar and the machines will move or rock, accompanied with some music too. When you don't allow him to go and play the machine, he will try to escape from you while you are carrying him.

When he finally get to have a go at the machine, he will cry when the machine stop and refused to go. When you forces him to let go of the steering wheel, he will not let go but his force is just like you pulling the plug from the socket.

Watchman

Watch "Watchman" with Tb and Hx. Really, the movie is all about watching men.

Click here for uncensored (M18 material)

This guy is called Dr. Manhattan and he practically moves around naked.

I think this might be the most boring movie of the year. I sat there for 2 hours 45 mins and I think I almost sleep 5 times during the movie. There are some gore parts but it is, in my sense, unnecessary at all. (Saw off the hands, use chopper to chop the head, splashing hot boiling oil onto people) The movie seemed like an unplanned story that the director just want to lump everything he wants, together.

My friends usually said that whatever movie that I said it is nice, they will think that it is really bad. But this time, you got to trust me. When I say it's bad, it's worst.

Kota Tinggi 2009

Just came back from Kota Tinggi having experienced the 2 major attractions namely Fireflies Cruise and Kota tinggi Waterfall. Besides that, Shao cheng had been a very good tour guide for bringing us around the places and introducing us to many delicious food, making us gain weights by at least a few kilos at the end of the trip. Not to forget his marvellous family members that made our trip a fulfilling one for driving us around! Thanks, you all.

Kota Tinggi Waterfall

Fireflies Cruise

Foods that made us Fat!

Day 1

To my extreme "pai-seh-ness", I need to say a big sorry to Shao Cheng and Sherman because I was late! Me and Sc were supposed to meet JE at 10:30am but I only woke up at that time when he called me! Totally uncalled for. I clearly remembered myself asking my mum the day before to give me a morning call but she forgets. I was in a crazy hurry (but still drank my coffee) and reached the MRT station at 11:30am.

Since I was late, our schedules were all pushed back by 45 mins. Meet up with Sherman, who was zombified, while waiting patiently for us me at Tenah merah. We took bus number 2 to Changi jetty and took a bum-boat ride to Pengerang.

Something about the bum-boat ride...

-You have to wait for 12 people to occupy the bum-boat before you can leave the changi jetty.
-The fee of ride is SGD 9.00
-The "bum-boat" rock like hell
-The ride is a 45mins one and extremely humid and hot one with water splashing about.

In anyway, we ate nasi lemak on the bum-boat and nothing else to do except looking at others who were sitting directly across you.

Reach Pengerang and we were greeted by a imp-like taxi driver who was obviously waiting for customers with his fellow mates. As if the bum-boat ride was not torturous enough, we were put to test in the taxi with 6 small banana flies that kept flying around us. However, the taxi driver was kind enough to tell us many things and he even had a name card!

Look like taxis in Singapore but I am really surprised at the amount of Kilometres they had to go and it seems like it will never run out of fuel. Anyway, the taxi fare was RM40.00 for 3 persons because they charged us by pax and they have no meters. If only we are able to find the 4th person then we are able to divide the costs... Taxi journey: half an hour or so.

Reached a place which I don't know where is it but I heard Sc saying "fei chui Restaurant" which sells cheap and delicious seafood. The taxi driver, which was very experienced, knows all the place around Pengerang and even know when they are opened or closed!

However, we went to explore around the place before we eat.

Huts by the sea

They catch the fishes from the sea and sort them according to types and sizes.

A bridge by the huts that leads to a beautiful view.

Children jumped into the sea at the end of the bridge and this was their favourite past time I guess.

Somewhere at tioman

The well that the movie, "The Ring" uses...

Bought some big size "Lau po bing" for RM2.00 each and some other food stuffs. Then we anyhow went to a restaurant because it suddenly rain. Although it was an "anyhow-go-into" restaurant, it still serves good food at reasonable price!

The restaurant name. By the way, they call it restoran in malay and that's why people in singapore said "Restaurant" as Res-tor-rian.

We ordered Kong(3) kong(4). Sc said that this dish can be only eaten during seasonal period. That means, it's rare! Taste like clam meat.

The way to eat it is to use a toothpick to poke at the meat in the inner of the shell. Then you try to drag out partially of the meat. Then you pull out the whole thing as demostrated by Sherman in the pic above.

Sambal Kang Kong. Whenever we order a vegetable species, it must be Sambal Kang Kong!

Gong Bao Tian Ji. Frog legs!

Lobsters! Not those very big one you saw on television ads where it is bigger than the small girl. It only cost RM 40.00 for this dish!

Not advised to eat the whole thing but to avoid troublesome, I gobbled the whole thing up while breaking a few teeth.

The bill came up to RM90.90 (divided by 3 persons) and further divide by 2 to convert to SGD which is about $15 per person!!! Oh my Tian~ Free photo taking with the lobsters included!

*Note to self: Use the same lobster for the entire photo taking session. When we put it back to the tank, it no longer fidget... (*Laugh hysterically*)

After the sumptous meal, we wanted to take a bus back to Sc's hometown but the bus only come at 5:30pm. (No choice, we want to save money, so never take taxi)

We went to walk around and found this.

Many small holes.

The small hole contained small crabs that moves around very fast. It camouflage itself well by having the same colour as the soil. We even mistaken the flies as the crabs as they shares the same size.

Nostalgia

Sc say lazy people use this machines because they don't need to boil the water and can drink directly from this machine. Look like japanese vending machine.

Yours sincerely, the olden days ESSO station

Accompanied by the old meter.

No smoking sign.

After looking at all the nostalgic things, we decided to act cute by eating ice cream while waiting for the bus. We saw the taxi driver that drove us earlier on. However, another taxi driver came along and gave us a deal that made us forget our bus waiting. He said that he will drive us to Sc's hometown for RM20.00.

As usual, Sc will chat with the taxi driver hoping for more discounts. Through the chatting, the taxi driver soon realised that Sc was the son of his friend and it seems like the taxi driver know almost everything about Sc's family members which Sc didn't even know!

He offered to let us stop and take pictures which we gladly accepted.

Somewhere at Bali after the Tsunami~

Somewhere at Bintan~

Sherman went to change his contact lense so he is not in the picture. (see? I remembered the slightest detail)

Sherman say his eyes was red so he better not open his eyes after returning from the toilet.

We quickly wrapped up with the photo-taking because we were afraid that the taxi driver might run away without us. We went back and the taxi driver was astounished by our speedy return. We kept it a secret about our fast actions until this day. *snigger*

After that, we continued with the taxi journey to Sc's house. It was raining heavily by the time we reached there. His house was terrace and that is equalivent to Singapore's HDB flat. It's so good to live in Kota Tinggi because of this condition but the travelling really makes me sick.

After putting down our luggages bags, we went to their pasar malam and it differs from Singapore's pasar malam mainly because they also sell meats, vegetables and spices.

We went to this clothes stall in the pasar malam and they sell Adidas and Nike T-shirt at a relatively cheap price. When asked if they were real, the sales girl said in a cheery tone like as if she didn't bluff, and said pointing to the clothes that they were indeed genuine. She said honestly that the others were all fakes but the ones we tried on were real and from Indonesia.

After some thoughts, we didn't buy it because it only had one colour; it only had one size; it only had one piece; and it might be fake ultimately.

We bought many food from the pasar malam and they were paid by Sc first, mainly because he was scare we were unfamiliar with the ringgits. Although he didn't say but I secretly know he care for us :)

*I call this phenomenon: on the house

We anyhow find a place to sit down and eat our stuffs bought from the pasar malam but we have to kay kay buy a few things from the shop so that we can eat outside food. However, we ordered more things from the shop than the pasar malam!

Well-cooked Cockles. Not those kind of bloody ones.

Stringray with Maggi mee sauce. Really, it taste like the Maggi's Tom yam sauce!

Bandung! Nice

The below 2 are bought from Pasar malam.

Don't know call what. It has coconut flakes and a crunchy sugary stuff in the middle. Not nice.

Pancakes with chocolate. The other food that we bought were Beancurd and "Zhu Chang Fen". Their "Zhu Chang Fen" is special because you can mix "Yong Tau foo" stuff with the sweet gravy. (I am feeling so hungry while typing this entry!)

After that, we went back to Sc's house and took a bath before to went to bed. Sc's younger brother is very cute and he is not shy towards strangers. The usual one will go hiding when there is visitors but not Li Zhi, Sc's bro name (Sounds like Lychee in chinese)

Day 2

Li Zhi and Sherman came into the room (Sherman was sleeping in another room downstairs) and woke me up. From the half opened door, I could see Sc's mum walked past and gave me a smile. I must have looked horrendous after my morning woke to deserve that smile.

We took a quick shower and Sc's mum kindly drove us to a Mee rubus stall for our breakfast.

Nothing much about the mee rubus except I tried to order Kopi in malay. It goes "Satu Kopi" but the stall holder replied in what sounds like Afghanistan language to me. To my horror, she was just asking if I want it cold or hot. Totally unexpected and this end my first malay ordering test.

With a full stomach, we went to the bus stop to wait for a bus to go Shopping. At there, we saw a very old building. According to Sc, it was a place for the swallows to build their nest using their own saliva. The nest of the swallow is to be made into Bird's nest, an expensive product used in chinese cooking for over 400 years(Wiki). The building produced a recorded swallow's sound to attract them in.

Shop for a while and went to eat a bowl of mee hoon kuey and didn't managed to finish it because I don't like big chunks of flour. Just eat the tender chicken and the leafy vege and call it a day.

Took Taxi to Holiday plaza and the uncle charged us RM6.00 for a short journey. According to Sc, who was very kiasu also, it was a ripped off. Despite last minute bargaining like saying we are students and such, the uncle remained firm and refused to give discounts.

Holiday plaza remind me of Queensway shopping centre. We also change some money at the money changer. The rate was 2.36 :0

Shop around and it's main attraction is the pirated CDs. Their CDs shop is unique because there is usually a slid door in the shop. Inside it, they are packing the shipped CDs into plastic bags which are sold in at a very cheap price. (Like RM5.00) I heard there is even Porn CDs.

Then later we took a bus to Jusco. It was like Vivo City. There are many shops like Levis, Giodano, QuikSilver, Roxy, Harris, Topshop etc. However, things sold there are around the same price as Singapore. We went to eat Chendol and have a mini chat there. We also bought Sushi as we had a sudden crave for it.

After that, we took bus to the firefly's venue. I got a cut near my elbow while rushing to board the bus.

When we reached there, we were quite early and we were told to wait for some tours from Singapore and Taiwan as they will be watching too. Saw a dead rat that got it's head squashed like don't know what. Shao cheng almost stepped on it to add on the misery.

Hi I am headless rat, Nice to meet you!

When the tour buses finally came, we are to wear bright orange life jacket and get ready for the fireflies cruise.

Somewhere at Chiang Mai

Night view of Singapore River

And so, the boat will bring us to the inner of the lake where it is very dark. All the things looks so peaceful and soon we reached the spot of fireflies. At first, some of the firefly will fly past but don't expect that many because humans kept destroying the natural habitiat and such.

Camera can't capture the image of a firefly. So basically, you should stop wasting your time to press the shutters and spend the time wisely to observe the natural beauty of the fireflies that decorates the trees into a christmas tree.

However, I still managed to capture the image of firefly. Tee hehe. <-- as if After that, it was supper time again! Sc suddenly became energetic when it comes to food and he bring us to a market that he used to eat during his school days. We begin our ordering spree.

dough sticks with infinite mayonaise, fried fish meat, sausages and prawn cakes. I know it's fattening but heck care about this night lah~

Satays

Chay kuey tiao with lots of cockles! This one is extremely tasty. Not too watery.

In fact, the chay kuey tiao got a thumbs up from Channel U food tasting programme. (Look at his shirt colour, representation from Channel U hor!)

Steam Dumplings.

Er hem. Wastage here done by Sherman and Sc. Tsk

After the fattening supper, we need to do some exercise. We went to the nearby fun fair and play Bumper car.

However, this Bumper car is not to be messed with. It's bumping power and collisions are F***ing hard. I suffered from bone fractured, internal bleeding and broken legs because I was stepping too hard on accelerator.

Played Bingo game and guess we aren't lucky enough. The guy next to Sc kept winning while we are not even closing to winning!

Didn't play most of the games there because it was raining irregularly. The muddy grounds were yucky and the rain made us very sticky after perspiring.

A miserable Mashi Maro was our only prize of the day.

Singapore Flyer~

After that KFC! and Sc's dad drove us back.

Day 3

Again, was woken up by Li zhi and Sherman. Quickly snatched the bathroom upon waking up while Sherman was not concentrating. HAHA! Breakfast was prepared for us and Sc's mum drove us to the Kota tinggi waterfall after breakfast. Li Zhi was not allowed to go as it was very dangerous. He was very sad because the usual talkative him, was quiet for the whole journey.

Man made attractions at the foot of the Water fall.

Then we climb up to the peak of the waterfall

Tada! A "post card" wannabe shot!

We played in the water.

Trying to get near the waterfall to experience the pressurize water free massaging!

The rock is super slippery and I fall a dozen times.

Shiok!

I hope time can stop and I cannot bare to leave the cooling water once I get into it. I hope my house have one waterfall so that whenever my back aches after a tiring Dota session, I can grab a towel and go to the Waterfall for the back massaging treatment. In my dreams~

After that, we got changed and Sc's dad drove us back. I guess we had been very troublesome to them since our arrival because Sc's parents took turn to drive us back and fro. Really, travelling takes up most of time in this Kota Tinggi trip.

Took a bath and packed up our stuffs. Then, lunch was Nasi lemak at Sc's house and we took farewell photos with Li Zhi.

Sc, you don't need to say farewell to your own bro -_-.

With everything all set to go, we said goodbye to the Heng family for the lodging. Sc's dad drove us to the bus station and we took a 1hr 45mins bus to City Square at JB.

At there, we saw two unfortunate experiences of a group of Malays and chinese fighting. There were also a group of Malays ganging up on one chinese, robbing him of his valuables. The security guards were ineffiencient like taking a stroll in the park when the incident happened. Suddenly lost the mood of shopping and hope to return to Singapore as soon as possible.

Before we leave JB, we dine at Kenny Rogers Roasters

We bid goodbye to Sc, which had been very kind to send us off at JB. (He had to go back to Kota Tinggi through the horrifying 1hr 45mins bus ride again!) Me and sherman were left on our own for the first time and we were so scare because of the previous incident at City Square. We will only find peace when we reached Singapore.

When we reached the Custom, we are not sure whether we are still at JB or singapore. We just follow the crowds and take SBS bus 170 or 160 to Woodlands check point. I asked my sis to drive me home and sherman to the nearest MRT station.

Both of us were very tired but was glad that we were safe and sound for the whole journey. I experienced a lot in this journey and I will never forget this amazing trip with you guys!

P/S: Italics means anyhow say.
