Saturday, 29 NovIt was a beautiful and lazy saturday for me as I was on idle mode. That is simply one of my favourite past time as it involves no work or thinking and you just aimlessly sits there and dream. Another one of my favourite past time that is like the same thing as idling is to play games and surf the net.
I figured out long ago that this was the easiest things to do. You just sit there and hold on to the mouse and anyhow click. So easy like learning ABCs. Playing games is just the same. Although it may get a little bit hard at first as you are new to it, but after familiarising with it, the fingers worked like magic as if they can move like on it's own.
Anyway, I also played with Timothy. He was on his walker and crazily smile to himself when I chased him. I love the way he secretly smile and it makes me want to go over and pinch his fat thigh! I don't know why although the smile has nothing to do with the thigh.
Ok enough of my psychotic thoughts, I was supposedly to meet Tb, Mk and Hx at Jurong point for a movie. We were somehow supposed to go Singapore expo for the IT fair because Mk wants to buy a LCD screen. We dropped the idea because we were lazy, remember? So being further more lazy, I request my sis to drive me to JP and meet up with them. In the end, I was super late because of all the delays.
Anyway, we ate and bought the tickets for Quarantine. This is a long awaited movie as I wanted to watch this movie even when it was not even rated or out. I remembered doing a problem in school about movie reviews, and Quarantine, at that time was not released. I read through it's plot and reviews and decided that this is a movie that I should watch.
Of course, Mk, Tb and Hx was in for it as well. And so...
Yap, the movie poster shows the last scene of the movie. And yes, no one survived and usually people considered this a bad ending. To me, it's not a bad ending because eventually it should end like this. I anticipated it and I actually feels that this ending is appropriate if not there will be no ending.
The other thing I like about this movie is that it is real. Unlike other movies like vampires and zombies who bite someone and that someone gets infected, this movie talks about rabies which is something true. The people who got bitten by the rabies infected person will become aggressive and has some kind of mad dogs traits.
Kind of like the way they film the movie. They made it like "Cloverfield" whereby story was related to the audiences through a video cam-like filming. Although it's dizzy but it keeps us in suspense of what is happening in the front. Everything is like a view of the "house of dead" shooting game in arcade.
Lots of this kind of "In-your-face" scenes in the movie. I like the part whereby, they use the filming device to hit the rabies infected person who pound on people unexpectedly. GOOD! they deserve it!
One thing bad about this movie is that it is quite dark at some of the scenes. Very messy and sometimes cannot figured out who was the infected person. But intriguing and scary scenes was there! 4/5 for the movie!
After the movie, sis came over to fetch us all to my house. This means none other than a Dai dee session. As usual, I didn't play and I used the computer to play maple and Habbo. Went to sleep at about 4am while they continue to play. I make it a point to remind them to close the windows and doors when they leave afterwards.
Saturday and Sunday past at an amazing fast rate. Two more weeks to my three weeks holiday. There is also a holiday on next Monday and this means that I just need to attend 7 lessons. Woot!
P/S: I just know that [REC] was like the same as Quarantine. I also heard that [REC] was scarier than Quarantine. I also ALSO heard that [REC] was released a few days earlier than Quarantine and Quarantine was the remake version. Not only I heard from someone, I also read that there is another movie called "Diary of the Dead" which is about the same but far more scarier than [REC] and Quarantine.
Thursday, 27 NovOn this date, 27 November, people in the west celebrated Thanksgiving day! Although Singapore does not celebrate it, I can roughly tell how exciting it will be from the name of it. "It is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general." -
Adapted from WikiI actually know of this celebration through Habbo. I played their US servers and one of the Habbo came into my store and bought a few things. She ended off with a happy thanksgiving day and I was really eager to find out about it.
What really surprised me is the bloated balloons that filled the streets with "giants" cartoon characters. It also has lots of performance as they marched through the streets. I used to hear of it but didn't know it was on Thanksgiving day.
Ronald McDonald Balloon in the 2006 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Not forgetting, pikachu, who was once a famous character of the kids and now still is.
P/S: Thanks Zakia for the Maplestory Ezlink card sticker! Greatly appreciate it!
Friday, 28 NovThe whole day in school was about leaving school. How I hope I can leave the school halfway and go home to see Timothy later. In anyway, I managed to persevere through although the faci was rather angry with the class or something.
Well, at least I managed to get a couple of shows from my classmate. The show is super ancient one called "Qian Nu You Hun", with Leslie being the lead actor.
I finished the first movie right after school in my sis's car. Very nice!
Then we drove over to fetch my mother from her work place. After that, we went to fetch Timothy but poor him, he was sick... It was my sis who spread the disease to him. See how vulnerable a child can be?
Is this one of the character from Twilight?
Despite the poor little child being sick, he's still bubbly and jumping around. He still wants to eat and eats ALOT. How can someone who is sick, has an appetite? I just promised my sis to compile Tim's pictures into an photo album. I wanted to do more like editing it into a slide show of photos. All I have to do is to sort out the photos now, but how to start? It's like yet another big project!
Lastly, lots of people fall sick recently mainly due to the sudden change in temperature. Drink lots of water and take care, my family and friends :)
Yet another dayAnother day passes and today is Wednesday already whereby I had another off day. Anyway, yesterday did not go to school as I was really tired. Schools isn't in my mind these few days and I seriously need to get back to my momentum till my 3 weeks holidays.
Yesterday, 25 Nov, TuesdayIt's coming to an end of November. We shall welcome the December in open arms you said. But with the bad economy, I can predict that this will be a difficult December or even a bad new year to begin with. With so much reasons, Christmas presents might be just a small keychains and New year's red packet will be just two dollars.
With so much decrease in money, we are not expecting the usual norms of getting more cheaper sales. Instead, we are treated with taxes and what's not. Good thing that fuel prices had gone down but it doesn't directly benefits us. Yes, it does matter if you say the cars need fuel to transport the goods to us. But then again, it's not directly linked.
Enough with economy. Meet up with Tb and Mk in the earliest hour. We were motivated to meet up as it had been a hectic week for us. We went to Plaza Sing to have lunch and then we went over to Cyberdome for lan session.
Played 8 hours of dota and having breaks in between. We felt that sitting beside each other when playing dota brings about greater teamwork and communication when killing opponents.
After lan, we took taxi back to IMM. We were lazy people and didn't want to squeeze in with the crowds of the after work people. We settled with subway despite the bad experiences that Tb and Mk had. (Some inside jokes)
Accompanied them to the bus interchange after dinner although I can walk home directly from IMM. We had been discussing about the heros to use when fighting against stronger opponents. In the end, we went home and played some matches to try out the heros. However, things didn't turn out that nice as opponents are horribly weak! (Right sherman?)
In anyway, slept at 2am and Thursday is a "must-go-school" day. Had UT after school and I am still deciding on whether to go school on Friday because there is a talk that is related to a module on Monday. If I did not go to school on Friday, I might as well don't go on Monday since I didn't attend to talk. Also, I checked the calendar and
WHERE IS THE PSEUDO HOLIDAY ON MONDAY? WHERE IS IT???I am so confused over my plans. Looks like I better get a handbook to check on the days that I should be occupied or free. But then again, I am lazy to update that handbook.
Bye, off to play maple.
Stomach BurstLeft the class with Shao cheng and Andy after second break. The feeling was marvellous. It has been long since I pon ten school halfway and went out. It's just like letting the lions out of the den.
And so, Tb specially came over to RP to drive me. We went over to his house and relax a bit. Watched TV and play computer. At about 6pm, we went over to sunset way. I was seriously hungry for foods.
And so...
Sashimis again! This is yet another place that you can get unlimited flow of sashimi! I just cannot contain my excitement over the 3 plates that I had eaten.
Steamboat. You can clearly see that there is no vege at all. Neither is the soup based spicy nor oily. We just put whatever we love the most and eliminate all those that we hate. Actually, me and Tb didn't eat much from the steamboat.
Spend most of the time barbecuing Teriyaki chickens, hotdogs, satay, beef and chicken rolls. One thing good about it is that they have people who keeps changing the grilling metal pieces that turns black after a while. It brings about healthier food to our stomachs. Of course we can choose to sit in the air-con and they have the service of barbecuing for you, but it defeats the purpose of playing with the barbecue.
In the most random way, you know what is this?
It's Luncheon meat!I simply toss it into the steamboat and call it a day! It has been a long time since I last eaten it. I used to love it very much. Never knew I had the chance to eat it there. I ate about 5 pieces and it's like eating something that is so rarely seen. Last time, it used to be a crappy food that goes with almost anything but now they usually don't sell it.
Okay, this is the plate for throwing whatever shit that is not edible. In terms of not edible, I meant things like burnt food and any other things that both of us couldn't agree on.
Me: Why you take so fishballs?
Tb: Take for us to eat
Me: I don't like fishballs, can you finish it or not?
Tb: Aiya, like that I take too many lor
Me: Nevermind la, throw at the plate
There is no signs of wastage charges which means it is good. In anyway, I think steamboat is the greatest place for wastage as typical of us is to take many but cannot finish them. If there were many leftovers, the usual plan is to dump everything inside the soup and faster run away.
Thanks Mk for the buffet :)
After that, we went over to West coast plaza. The place is quite empty as there were not much shops. They used lots of christmas decoratives to take up the spaces. Saw many familiar shopkeepers' faces. The best shopping place in West coast plaza is the Cold storage. After that Tb drove me home.
Thanks Tb for the numerous rides :)
Wow, I am so grateful for having friends that are so good to me.
I had always wanted to show this but everytime I forget.
22 Nov, SaturdayWent to Cash studio with Jin Jin and Tb. Actually, there supposed to be more people going but they were either too busy or don't want to sing. So we met at Clementi and head over for our long awaited singing session.
Package was $38++ for 3 person on saturday. We thought it was pretty cheap for a Saturday. Though it was a short 3 hours, we managed to make the best out of it. The most sedimental old songs that we picked up was...
Ran Shao Ba, Huo Niao!!!!!!!!!!We were laughing at the old-fashioned style of singing that "Gao Ling Feng" displayed. He was super old now and he still wants to act young like when he was in the MTV of "Ran Shao Ba, Huo Niao". The words that we had to synchronize with, are in fiery fonts. Can you imagine it?
After Singing, we went over to plaza Sing and along the way, we saw many christmas trees. Christmas is still one month away but we were already filled up with the festive season's mood. We begin taking pictures of all the decorative things that we can find on the streets.
Why are we like helping people to take photo?
It says "MERRY CHRISTMAS"
Extra calefare at the bottom right corner.
At PS, we decided to watch Madagascar 2, Escape To Africa.
Personally, I love the movie as it is hilarious. Although I was super tired after a day but I managed to laugh out loud at most of the parts. We were also sitting at the front rows which made my neck super pain after movie but it was all worth it. A movie that make me smile and laugh crazily was all that worth.
Just before we watched the movie, Jinjin brought us to the cool shops. In these cool shops, they actually sell anime's characters figurines and their weapons.
Tom, is that you?
Very nice, feel like bringing them home.
I love the texture of this figurine.
Went home after the movie but certainly enjoy the day.
23 Nov, Sunday!Happy Birthday MUM to your 41st birthday!!!Stay young forever! You rocks as I will never ran out of topics with you. I can tell you all my problems and you never been tired of me all this while.
I love you, mummy.Purposely use this colour because I am shy... Although she won't view my blog, but I am still shy about it.
After celebrating with my mum, went out with Tb, Mk and Hx. Tb specially came over to drive us. Thanks Tb for the free rides, I
LOVE free stuff. They are like the best feelings in the world.
Anyway, we went JP and was supposed to watch a movie. However, we couldn't decide on one movie and simply because all of them were boring. So we decided to walk around and later on, Tb drove us to his previous camp.
His camp were situated deep inside and we need to go pass several cemetries. The place is pretty dark and scary.
It will be bad if I am posted there.
Later on, we alight Hx, who has to book in before 12 mid night to his Kranji camp. Then after that, Tb drove individual of us home! Wee~
Last but not the least...
Good night.
Scariest momentToday I came across one of the greatest fear that I had never chance upon. My laptop died on me for like 20 minutes. I was so scared I almost gone mad. My mind was thinking of the following...
Where did I keep my warranty card?
Should I go home immediately?
What about the test that I will be having later?
Will my mum scold me?
Why should she scold me? not my fault!
What is wrong with the laptop?
Call my sis and ask her what should I do?
How to reply to E35D's convo when the laptop decides to die on me?
Should I go and eat first and decide later?
Seriously, I had no experiences in this kind of situation. This is the first time something like that happened to me. The laptop had served me well for almost 2 years already. I just cannot afford to have it died on me at this point in time.
So I quickly ran down (walking hastily) to the borrowing of laptop place. I already knew that there were no more laptops available since it's about time of breakout for most students. But you know when someone is desperate for something, they do anything to get it.
I returned class and tried to on the laptop once again. This time with the especially loud "Beep beep" sound and it couldn't be on again. I declared it "
DEATH"!
A classmate of mine were telling me to go Funan IT mall to get it repaired. He simply had no trust in the school's IT helpdesk. Laptops which are sent there are instantaneous reformat, no repair or whatsoever. Then later, they change your operating system from Windows to Vista.
Oh no, I sound like a professional in this field, which I am not. I panicked when my laptop shut down on it's own.
But later, I felt a bit... (how to describe this feeling?) It's like when people malign you of something that you never done, you feel like scolding vulgarities but that person got away scot-free. Something like that.
I decided to press on the "ON" button again, but without any hopes of the laptop's reviving. But it just starts to on again! I was so shocked that something miracle happened. I was thinking through the whole process and wondered if I had placed some "hope" into the magical finger that had made it works like magic!
I was over the moon! I thanked everyone in the group and went to the toilet to cry for a while, celebrating the joys of revival. I went to break with E35D clinque and I told individually about my laptop's death and alive story. I was not even complaining about telling them one by one, multiple times. Their minds will be like " Wth lah, can shut up or not? None of my business leh".
As if this was very common, Teresa even commented that (with some act chio accent) "Hai yo, like that you also scare? my laptop that time spoil for 3 weeks, I also heck~ Your friend arh?
Anyway, Timothy photo!
Timothy and his smelly
He's now getting better and better. Can even pose.
I think when Timothy grows up, I will show him my blog and tell him that I frequently blog about him. I marked his growing process and took photos of him during every stages. I hope he will have a good childhood memory to think about when he grew up.
It is also for me to see his growing process. From the time when he is born, to the time when he first have his first tooth. Very soon, he will be crawling and in no time, walking! This whole process of life just make me feel that life is so special and evolving! I can even picture in my mind, Timothy's naughty looks.
Monday, 17 novJust one day apart from Timothy, I am already starting to miss that little child. It's always like that. When he is around, I don't spend adequate time with him. Only when he went back to his own house, then I miss his smile like I am a drug addict or something.
Today was a busy day at school. I secretly took out tim's photo and look at his chubby hands.
In this picture, he crazily knocked the pokemon toys against the table. Fearing that he might accidentally hit his fingers or something, we stop his movements. He didn't cry but look at us in awe. The usual kids would have cry like as if they lost their front tooth as they bang their mouth into the wall. (How drastic!)
I actually love it. I mean I love it when he don't cry because someone took his smelly pillow and don't return him. In fact, he actually forget immediately that someone had taken his pillow and went on to do his other stuff like play with his own pampers or smile and run away.
Sometimes, it is better that he don't learn to cry when people don't allow him to do certain things. For example, when he see people eating things, he will cry madly and think that by crying, he can get whatever he wants.
Moving on, went to lester's class with Teresa to get movie (Tropic Thunder). I always wished I could experience Art classes in STA. Never had I know that they had costume party in there. Well, I don't know about their problem statement for the day but the members were busy putting cloths and rugs on lester.
So I asked lester, what kind of themes was his team allocated. He said "cute". I quickly added "Like that cute meh?". I guess it would have been better if he had chosen the theme gothic or lolita.
Lesson was super slack during tuesday. Faci on this day was the best among the others that I have. He always smile to us and allow us to go home on time. Presentation wasn't as fussy as some other faci which have to at least ask one question or else down-grade.
Anyway, topic was about installing Vista to a school's laptop. We had to reformat it and install several drivers and features for it to be used for presentation. Was busy spending time in the library playing games and that means not doing work at all! Also, I ate 3 curry puffs and 3 sardine puffs.
Watched Andy and Shao cheng played the piano and it was really good. Me and zakia just watched in silent as we had no musical backgrounds.
Zakia helped us to take a photo and she was not in the photo :(
After school, sis drove me back. I ransacked her car's space and saw a blu tack.
Then when I open it...
It's not new and I laughed until I am crazy. I know it's not funny at all but I am that sort that would imagine her chain of thoughts. This should be how it goes according to my version of her thoughts.
Firstly, she wants to stick a small piece of pikachu toy at her car front because it keeps falling off as it cannot stand on it's own.
She quickly
ran to the nearby shop to buy this blu tack and hastily pull out a fair amount of it and stick the pikachu to her front view.
Then she dump the remaining blu tack into her unused car spaces and there I was!, discovering the remaining blu tack!
This should be how it was at that time. I applauded myself for the wonderful imagination but I didn't asked my sis whether is my prediction correct or not. She knew I was crazy again as I was tired. I still think I was correct about my guess...
Timothy says bye.
SakuraI don't know about others and I love buffets to the maximum! Buffet gives people the idea of free unlimited food. But think again, we paid large sum of money and it's not considered free anymore. About the unlimited flow of foods you can get, of course we had to select on food that will not make you full.
I guess everyone had their own opinion based on buffet. However, don't go around TSK-ing people like as if you are so gorgeous in buffets. In buffet, no one is gorgeous. You have to be tough and eat until it satisfy you.
You know those above average aunties? (They are aunties that are literate and work in office perhaps?) Whenever you get infront of those aunties and you took more food than them, they will give that "rolled-eye" face. I feel like turning behind and shout in the left eye and telling them that it is a buffet and I paid for them!
A buffet allows us to try out all the food that is in the restaurant. These aunties act like as if they are so elegant and took some veggies at a very slow rate, picking the ones that look the healthiest and call it a day. Tell you what, if you like typical veggies and doesn't eat alot, go other places and don't come to buffet. You are a waste of space because these aunties also usually reserved places as they were very free in the office during tea break.
Ok let's get onto serious business. Yesterday meet up with the usual clique namely Tb, Hx and Mk during dinner time. I forget to say that Tb came to my house in the afternoon and watched some drama.
We reached Sakura at 8pm and we quickly went to get the foods once we know our places. It's like we all stood up together and the four of us split up into different directions. I quickly went to the Sashimi area and took a plate of it.
Yes! I finished all of it by myself. Whenever I go Sakura, this is the first food I will get. I feel that Sakura is the only place that you can eat Sashimi with your hearts out. SONG!
Chicken chop! It's nice when it is served hot.
Some kind of shell-based food. There is a layer of cheese on top and I love cheese!
I keep ordering Salmon but they keep giving Dory fillet instead. In the end, I only managed to eat one plate of Salmon. Dory fillet, throw away.
Beef, quite nice.
Assorted sushi.
Anyway, Thanks Tb for treating me. It has been a long time since we took photos together and so I specially request for it.
Then once we start, we never stop.
So happy la. Whenever you are full, you feel happy and contented. In the end, we ate until the restaurant closes. I was shocked because in the earlier period, I purposely eat slowly and want it to last longer. So I quickly rushed over to get the desserts.
There were lots of food wastage and the greatest winner goes to Hx. His wastage weighs 3kg and it is like every plate of food he took, he ate half of it and throw the other half away. His reasons was either the food is not nice or the food is not up to his standards.
Then with our heavy stomachs, we dragged Tb, who was intending to go home, to watch a move instead. We watched Quantum of Solace.
A change of person in the bond.
I never like action movie and I will give it a 3/5. Although there were some parts of cool scenes which involves dangerous actions but these were expected in such a movie, so really no comments. It's also abit like the Initial D when they had chasing cars scene whereby they do the drifting. Loads of Jackie chan's types of action also.
But something about the character. I think James Bond usually gives the people the impression that he was confident and cool. Daniel Craig successfully done that and it was good. After the movie, no bus and no MRT. No choice but to cab home :(
