Story time



Once upon a time, there was an apple and a orange. Apple lived in a basket and orange lived in a refrigerator. They lived in a world of their own and never thought they would meet. It was until one day, Siao Zha Bor (a.k.a SZB) decides to make fruit drink using these two fruits.

At first, Apple treated orange very kindly. Apple was always the versatile one as it has many friends like banana, durian and CELERY! (Yuenky! See this!!!) Orange was not bad as well. Although most people preferred Apple to orange because orange has a tinge of sourness.

One day, SZB took Apple from the basket which was at room temperature. SZB went on to retrieve orange from the refrigerator which was at a cold temperature. Held on the palms of SZB, the orange will of course get a better attention than apple because of the cold feelings.

A slight difference in the place that were stored could lead to a different point of view of a certain item. We were not even comparing the taste and the colours. At that point in time, versatility were not considered as well.

In the end, SZB chose orange because she was really hot and thirsty after a jog. SZB chose orange because it has just been taken out from the refrigerator that can seize her heat from the sun. Orange were also able to quench the thirst as it was juicy. Apple was devastated, Apple was put back into basket...

Apple rolled around in the basket and accidentally knocked into it's friend, banana. Banana quickly becomes curved and tried to embrace Apple. Apple and banana sees each other everyday as they were put together in a basket.

Apple's thoughts: I am so versatile and yet SZB chose orange instead of me. This is so unfair. I should never get close to orange that were stored in a refrigerator.

Banana's thoughts: Apple needs my embrace now. I am in the same basket as Apple. I should help Apple as I would never know when I will be treated the same way. Besides, I have no skin to lose.

Orange's thoughts: We are born to be eaten. We are bound to be judged by SZB. We are in her house going by the house rules. Although place and setting might be different, we are born to be eaten.

Siao Zha Bor's thoughts: I don't care what fruits is nice. I just care about whether I get my vitamins from the fruits. If they are rotten, I will throw them away.

Some time later, Apple and Banana was being was given to Siao Tah Bor (STB). STB put both of them in the refrigerator. As Apple was versatile, she was able to bare with the coldness. However, banana couldn't take it and became black. He was being thrown away the next day...

At this point, Apple came to realise that being versatile was a blessing. Apple seems to view the world in a completely different way.
