Singapore Flyer Observation Wheel!

It's the world's largest observation wheel.
Standing at stunning 165m, the Flyer is the height of a 42-storey building – that's some 30 metres taller than the famed London Eye. Taking a flight on this S$240 million dollar wheel is a one-of-a-kind experience you wouldn't want to miss.

It's the only place to see Singapore's magnificent cityscape.
As the wheel turns, you'll be treated to a visual 360 degree feast of iconic and historical landmarks and views from the Marina Bay to the Singapore River, Raffles Place, Merlion Park, Empress Place and the Padang. There is no other place in Singapore that offers these breathtaking panoramic views.

You'll be able to fly 'for real'.
If being 165m above ground level in a capsule exhilarates you, fly like a real pilot in a flight simulator that has all the gadgets and gizmos found in real commercial airliners. The simulator isn't a toy, it's been approved by the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority for pilot training.

Your toes will be tickled by fishes.
On Level 2 is a fish foot spa - that's right – it's a spa where Doctor Fishes ('Garra Rufa') work their magic on your feet. These fish, imported from Turkey, have healing properties and will give you a pedicure you won't forget.

Super feel like going! I heard that it is $29.50 for 30 mins and that only means that it is 1 min for $1. Some people say it is cheap and some people say it is expensive. I would say that it is mediocre.

Once in a while you go for this kind of things, it is so worth it. Then people begin their complaining and say that it is moving too slow as if they had taken the Singapore Flyer for a MRT.

You pay money, then of course the trip needs to be slow and makes u feel worth it. Then got people complain that the time you spend up there is too long. Don't know what the people want. They complain like as if it is free. If you want 50 metres per second, you can go to the tallest building and jump down from there.

The most amazing thing is that it is currently the tallest observation wheel in the world! But sadly, I heard that China is going to build another one that is going to dwarf us by 40 metres! If you want exact figures, I give it to you! China is going to build a 208 metres observation wheel by year 2009! It is somehow related to the Olympics I guess.

So how? You tell me la? Everytime, we win something, then people build something that win us back? Nevermind then, at least we can be the winner for 1 year time. Then when China's observation wheel is completed, I act like I don't know that it was completed. I don't blog about it and sleep for that whole day.

Anyway, I kept saying observation wheel and not Ferris wheel because there is a big differences! Ferris wheel is something in the amusement park whereby you can complain about it being slow. The reason is because you want to have fun in the amusement park and the thing is like not moving at all, then how can it give you any excitement?

A observation wheel is something that allow you to observe and see views and landmarks from great heights. It is usually not for fun as it needs to be slow for you to view things. It is also because that it is so high up, it needs to be slow or else people will be thrown out of the carriage cabin thingy.

I was chatting to my mum and we were talking about how countries like to "copy" from each other. Like how I easily use the word "copy" for the situation like "Singapore build biggest observation wheel and China copy it". Then my mum say, "why Singapore build casino and china don't copy it?"

I was stunned and rooted to the ground. Like this question never stumbled on me before. It's like entering the exam hall and facing a question that you had never learn from the textbook before. Then I say, "China no casino meh?" I thought casino is like everywhere in the world? China so big, how can don't have casino? (Maybe they have Casio and not Casino)

Then I felt a mosquito fly past and suck some blood from my arms. I didn't stop it but let it suck for a while. That is when I know, that there is something some countries can't "copy". The population in China is that many and if it promote something like gambling, it will be like the worst situation happening around the world. I slapped the mosquito on my arms very violently until blood were seen. The blood were not from the mosquito but from me...
