No Ubin, East Coast the same!

No Tiger bites or Monkey scratches, just sun burns. Luckily no peeling of skins as I imagined.

We meet at Jurong East MRT platform where William and his girlfriend, Man ting, came all the way from Bishan and Woodlands respectively. They could just save the hassle and meet us at the destination but they chose to wake up extremely early just to meet us at JE and travel there together!

When told, not be late by Shao cheng, we all reached the meeting place on the dot or earlier. He, himself was late for 21 minutes and was bullied into treating us drinks for the day. Not only that, William and his gf had to pay a fine of $2 to SMRT for over-staying in the platform for too long, waiting!

Discussed about the trip to Pekanbaru and set it to April. After the what it looked like an endless journey, we finally reached Bedok. Had our breakfast there as I copied Shao cheng into being vegetarian for the day. The end result was that I cannot finish the food as it taste like dough.

Took bus 196 and told the uncle to call us when we reach the place where we will be able to see the underpass to East Coast Park. You see, all of us don't actually know how to go but had a little memory about the way. I remembered there was a coffee shop while William says he know the place like the back of his palms. In the end, we were lost and had to ask for direction from 7-eleven and Ma-Ma shop uncle.

We finally found the underpass and reached East Coast park. There, we just anyhow find a bicycle shop that was nearest to loan bicycles. We were in good luck because there was a promotion that seems to run forever in that shop. (1 hour + 1 hour + 1 free drink at $5)

To our surprises, it was another sales gimmick. Those promotions was for kid's bicycles and the adult's bicycles was $6-$8 for 2hours, mineral water included. However the uncle were kind enough to give us extra hours as there isn't a lot of people. How kind!

Sandcastle!

We cycled around and the feeling of cycling again makes me smile. We went to the pond to see tortoises and the place looking so "China". We begin to make jokes like as if we were in China etc.

There you go, we are at China~

After like half an hour of cycling, my sis called and she said she also want to cycle. So we met her at the bicycle shop where we first begin. It was weird at first as no one talk to each other. This is their first time meeting each other.

We came upon this rock cliff and the water beneath is coming against each other. At first, there was a pavement to the rock cliff but when it is high tide, the pavement got submerged by the sea waters and William and Shao Cheng found themselves trapped at the "island"

This is Shao Cheng's and William's view from the rock cliff.

This is me, Man ting's and sis's view from the sandy beach. (Trust me, when it's high tide, the water by the cliff guadually increase and make coming back impossible.)

Playing by the beach makes us hungry so me and sis became the delivery man to buy food for the rest of them. When we were back, we rest by the hut-like shelter and we begin our chit-chatting session. It is really at here that they begin socialising. Love chatting to bits and pieces!

Although the uncle gave us extra time to cycle for free, we were cautious and not taken in by greed. We returned the bicycles and took cards to play traditional games like Dai dee, Bluff, Hearts and the confusing Bridge that William was trying to teach us but we couldn't get it.

After that, we ate at Subway and we talked all the way until the sky turns dark. The topic ranged from schools to working life. My sis were also taking about marketing and her tatics at work. The chatting session was a lively one and we were all laughing as some of it were extremely funny.

Sis drove all of them to Jurong East and later drove me back. What a nice day!
