Have you been to Mcdonald recently and ordered an extra value meal? If you did, they certainly give you some sticker thingy which is called 'Mcdonald Monopoly Singapore Game Piece'. No scratch and no fuss, you just peel them off to check if you are the lucky winner of top prize, $50,000!!!
Here's what I got...
Actually, if you can't get the top prize, there is always consolation prizes which is called 'instant win'. They come in all forms and mine was 'Starcruises 3rd & 4th PAX FREE'. My friend got a small fries free and he said he had gotten a Big Mac free before too!
For better prizes
Like the concept of Monopoly, you need to collect a whole stretch of same coloured lands in order to start building hotels. Likewise, Mcdonald monopoly will give you prizes if you managed to collect the completed game pieces.
However, if it is so easy then Mcdonald might go bankrupt. From some sources, I heard that the top prize ($50,000) has only got 1 game piece in the whole of Singapore? See the video below and you can see how crazy when they get the Sentosa Cove game piece (Rumored to be the legendary game piece!)
Some websites even went on to calculate the probabilities of actually winning the prizes which I thought was interesting enough to share!
For all you know, I could be the lucky one to get the Sentosa cove game piece. I will be eating Mcdonald EVM + upsize (8 game pieces) once I got the chance!
Went to Chomp Chomp Food centre with the cheapo gang. Teresa recommended this place and everyone in the gang frantically googled it so that they will know what to order on that day itself. Talking about "kiasu-ism".
At first, I thought it was some kind of fast food restaurants like popeyes or Mcdonalds but it turned out to be a food centre (kopitiam, food court)
The red star is Chomp Chomp FC
The place is located at Serangoon Garden and we took a bus from Ang mo kio hub to go there. I think is 168 or something.
We ordered many things like orh lua, prawn noodle, popiah, mee goreng, chicken chunks, BBQ stingray and gigantic sugar cane drinks.
Red means 'Very nice' Blue means 'Never try' Green means 'Don't eat, not worth the money'
Actually, the gigantic sugar cane drinks is play cheat one. I can taste that they added a lot of water as it is diluted. But for such a huge cup going at $3 which two people can barely finish it and not forgetting that after all the oily food, we need a lot of water to flush down the 'sins'.
After that, went to Frolick to have ice creams. Chatted like 1 hour or so as it brings back all the nostalgic E35D days. We tried to set Monday as our meet-up day but I wonder how long this will go on. Let's not care about the future but preserve the present moment! Next stop: Vivo city roof-top!

Thursday, 29 Oct
2 more days to Halloween. Like the past years, Halloween hasn't been an important day for me because I've never celebrated it. However, Me, Teresa and Choosie watched Halloween II at CWP after FYP.
Actually, if you ask me what is the movie about, I will say 'I don't know'. Besides performing a close up stitching on a terribly cut-up face, cutting at the throat with those 'si-sha-si-sha' noise (blood gushing out), using a giant axe and pushing it against someone's back, stomping on someone's face with heavy boots accompanied by skull smashing sound, repeatedly violent stabbing to make sure the victims is dead, nurse who is unaware that her nose is being cut in half, prostitute having her head banged against the mirror and passing out while Mr Halloween stop and look at the face to make sure he had done enough damage to the now distorted face, eating bloody dog's meat.
That, about sums it up. Mr Halloween just kill anyone in his path.

MRT annoyance
I found out that I had this amazing power of making people sleep when they sat beside me on the MRT. Sometimes on my right, sometimes on my left. If I am really 'lucky', both left and right can sleep at the same time and wave their head onto me.
As much as I hated it, I loved seeing this happened on others. I will pretend to give the 'Aw... hate it when people do that' face but I secretly loves to see their reaction or action to the sleeping person. It will be bonus if the victim (the one being lean on) starts to move away or push back or even best, QUARREL! Haha!
I am so honoured to be invited by Zakia to her brother's wedding. This is my first time attending a malay wedding and it's really petrifying because you aren't sure about what to do there. Luckily, or I hope, I did nothing embarrassing on that day and was glad everything went well.
I also want to mention that Zakia played the role of a good host as she ran around the place to find her family members and introduce them to us one by one. If I were in her shoes, I don't think I will be able to do that!
Only pictures can explain what happened there and then.
First, we walked around the place and we find a place to settle down. Then we went to get our food. I love the rice most because it's not sticky and you can easily feel each grain of rice in the mouth. However, most of the food is spicy but that's the unique food choices in malay weddings, I guess.
Desserts of the day, with william being blocked by the vase of ferns.
And like chinese weddings, the guests do get gifts for attending the malay weddings.
The main characters of the day, Rahim and Rafidah
Signing the guest book. I hope they know I am drawing the bridegroom and the bride.
Looks extremely tasty and elegant
This cake is definitely nicer than the one I designed for my younger sis.
Didn't actually take a picture with the bride or bridegroom, but this picture serves as a memory that the whole lot of us attended a malay wedding ceremony.
And last but not least...
A shot taken without any means of preparation.

ECP escapee
After that, went to meet up with the cheapo gang members. (Teresa and Sherman)
It's really weird because the cheapo gang members don't usually do exercise. They usually spend their time thinking of ways to get the best deals. However, today the sun rises from the west and sets in the east. Teresa learnt how to cycle and she's all out to show off her cycling skills.
One of those infamous emo shot. But I like it anyhow.
Drinking under the hot sun is Boomz while Sherman showed the Shingz face
This is totally FTL, Shingz plus ultra omgzi!
We cycled for 4 hours straight!
Dinner at Lagoon Food Centre. Waited for half an hour before we can get a table. The people there simply don't move away after they finished their food. They can chat in front of you even though they know we are dying to get their tables. Although these people did that to us, we are proud to say that we 'pass' the table to those that are waiting once we finished our food.
The Mee Goreng is super delicious and it comes with 4 huge prawns and gigantic sotongs! WOOT! Although the price is $6 for a small plate.
20th October is a special day for both Ah peng and my younger sis. They shared the same birthday and I only knew this last year since I was the one buying the cake. This time, each of them will have a cake for themselves and it's customized by ME! MUAHAHAHAHAH! No choice, I am the artist here. PSB style~
I started off with my younger sis's cake.
I drew a girl which represent my younger sis and trust me, it's not easy from the look of it. My hands keep shaking because I have to squeeze the cream out. My elder sis helped with the colouring of shirt and hair.
Finished! But it looks plain.
I wrote the word 'Hapi B'dae' using bubble font and regretted deeply. It didn't turned out nice but I saved it back by putting the starry things. If without the starry things, don't it looks weird?
My elder sis decorated the sides with starry things again. (comes very handy) You can see she pressed too hard into the cake.
And Ta Da!! The finished product that is colourful and fun looking!
Now it's Ah peng's cake...
Ah peng is my sis's husband and I cannot use back the same ideology in decorating my younger sis's cake for Ah peng. I need to think in his perspective and I came up with the idea of drawing his sideway view. Don't look exactly like him but he will get the idea that it's him on the cake!
My sis squeezed a generous amount of chocolate fudge for the hair part. She say that the 'hair part' will taste extremely tasty.
The green colour is supposed to be blue.
Finished product! I love the hair. How come my sis ask me to write '2010'? I thought this year is 2009?
This way of birthday celebration is unique and I will surely do it again! I did mine at Jurong point's, The icing room.

Outing with cheapo gang (Teresa, Yuenky and Sherman) yesterday. It was enjoyable except that the movie 'Pandorum' turned out sucky. I don't know what it is doing the whole movie and it's very dark and unclear when the monsters start to chase the people. MESSY!
Had crystal jade at CWP. They wanted to have steamboat but I stopped them. They can't even finished ala carte!
Sesame oil chicken noodle. Hate the bones.
Teresa's choice. Whatever she order, the waitress say don't have. haha
First thing first, How come Deepavali falls on Saturday and we don't get a holiday on the coming Monday? I don't understand at all. Isn't Deepavali a public holiday? I even heard that some children are having exams on Monday which means no rest for them! What about the people celebrating Diwali?
I don't think this is fair for the Indian communities or even those who are celebrating Deepavali. Chinese new year and Hari raya are always given 1 or 2 days holiday so that they can enjoy the festive occasion.
With that being said, I have been rather busy ever since school started. Facebook games had occupied most of my time and I can't explain what's making me so addicted. I used to think Facebook games are stupid because they revolved around clicking on grids and texts and how can it be fun?
One day when I was on the MRT, I accidentally eavesdropped a conversation made by two OL a.k.a Office ladies. They were talking about what they usually do in the office and comparing their workload. Out of nowhere, the conversation led to Facebook games and they began to share their favourite games.
You can see the contrast in their face, before and after. Before as in when they are talking about workload and after which is the Fb's games. They seemed like hardcore gamers!
And so, my favourite is Farmville.
I know this has been out a long time ago and the reason why I still play it is because it update frequently. For example, Halloween updates and many more.
The recent Cafe World is making commotion in the cyber world.
Same like Restaurant city, it incorporates Farmville's timing system into preparing food. If you are an avid player of Farmville like me, you will like Cafe World also. Much more, you can purposely plow your land and cook your food for the same phase of time so that you can harvest your crops or serve food conveniently.
So, what did I learned after playing these games?
I learned to manage my time well because crops and food will spoil. Ahhh, whatever.
I also want to recommend another game called 'naruto arena'. I used to play this game during my secondary school days and recently I started playing it again. All you need is luck and strategies to win the game and unlock new characters.
--------------------------
I just installed mio yesterday and I am officially wireless. The mio Tv is nonsense because after playing with the remote control for minutes, the best thing about mio tv is the free football channels and 30 new movies per month. Besides, who still watch Tv these days?
--------------------------
I think I am super grumpy today. I want to say that Chao Ji Xing Guang Da Dao 5 had finally came to an end. The finale was heart wrenching because everyone did their best. Can't wait till Chao Ji Xing Guang Da Dao 6!!!
--------------------------
And lastly! (I promised to stop after this)
I went to Dean's cafe ('Zi Char' stall) which is located at Toh guan Rd near my house yesterday. Had to wait 1 hour plus before we finally had a taste of their 'Cai Po Hor Fun' (salted radish hor fun)
I usually walked past Dean's cafe and they are usually empty but not until yesterday. Heard that they were on Channel 8 but was unsure about the name of the show. Tried their fried chicken as well but it's only so-so.
I wasn't around in Singapore on 1st to 4th October because I went to Genting and KL with my beloved friends and Sis. It's kind of sad because right after I came back to Singapore, the next day is school reopening and I felt tired due to the unpacking of stuff.
Anyway, school's aside. The four of us (Jinhong, Shao Cheng, my sis and me) met at Lavender control station and walked to Golden mile Tower to take the 707 agency coach to Genting. The coach cost $46 per pax.
The coach ride feel horribly boring and it seems like the conversation is getting lesser and lesser every minute. We gossip, eat, chat, sleep, read magazine, listen to music, move from places to places and finally we reached our destination when the first thing we felt after we stepped on the ground at Genting highlands for the first time, was 'icy cold'. I think the temperature was around 15 degree Celsius at 3:30am.
However, being extremely 'kiasu' and vengeful about the hot weather in Singapore the past few days, I breathed in the icy cold air greedily and coughed out bits of snowflakes and the scene was magnificent. Everyone coming down from the coach applauded for my arrival at Genting Highlands... blah blah blah...
Anyway, we left our bags at the counter and did I mention that this is the trip whereby I brought the fewest things and smallest bag ever? I just say the things I never bring. I didn't bring towel, shampoo and body wash because all these can be stolen from the hotel. I only bring 2 sets of clothing and some miscellaneous items.
We split into two teams because me and shao cheng couldn't enter the casino. We roamed around the place like scavengers while trying to explore and take note of the things that we will be doing in the morning because there is nothing else to do except casino at about 4am. My sis and Jinhong went to the casino to 'try their luck'.
Me and Sc had Macdonald at dawn time and it is me who picked out that Genting's Macdonald is kind of different with Singapore's Macdonald.
This is the view that we can see from our hotel - First world hotel. Sc kept emphasizing that it is the best weather in Genting he had ever seen.
And so we checked in the hotel at about 9am. Before we enter the hotel room, we knock on the door twice and flush the toilet. Chinese believed that these are the first things you should do when you go into a hotel room. It is to 'inform' the spirits that we will be staying there for a night or so and that we are not trying to bother 'them'. It is just like going to people's house and you greet them on your first visit.
Our hotel is the World Cup room which is the biggest of the lot. I don't know why it is called World cup room. Perhaps this room is used to watch football world cup? It has 2 Queen size beds and it is especially comfy at night! It costs SGD 100 for 1 night.
We are above the clouds level.
10am, Me and Sc chiong-ed to the theme park while the rest sleep like pig. We bought the hand band for the whole day theme park which costs RM $51. We also played 'Superman' which requires additional RM $10.
We played almost all the games and rides in the theme park except one. We didn't play the one that goes up 20 levels and suddenly come down (ya, that one). Sc was afraid of heights and he heard horrible story about a girl who did not tie her hair and the hair got stuck when the machine went all the way down from the highest point. Because of the pressure and pull, the whole head was ripped off. Urgh~
Ok let's move on to food.
Didn't try this. So I am not sure whether it's nice or not. However, I heard Sc saying, "Too salty".
Duck meat noodle. Last time when I had this, they arranged the meat nicely in a staggered way. This time like anyhow throw in. However, the duck meat is loved.
Normal fried rice.
'Xiao Long Bao'. The skin is a bit thick but I like the juice that is flowing out from it. What's with the orange thingy?
NOT NICE, next
This tastes like yam and it creates many controversy. In the end, 2 like and 2 don't like.
Science lab?
With a heavy stomach, we went back to hotel and rest. I slept for 3 hours and this is like the best sleep ever. It felt so good after a rest and it is as though I am a battery being charged and ready for the next activity.
By then, it's already 7pm. Time for dinner at 'Hou Mei'. 'Hou Mei' actually means good taste in Cantonese and it really was!
Chicken noodles. Jh recommended this eatery to us saying that the noodle is delicious. My sis doubled up the opinion.
Asam Laksa. I like the soup. It tastes sour but not that spicy and the onions and ikan bilis combination is awesome! Not nice when it turns cold.
Curry chicken noodle. Sc likes it. Looks delicious and creamy!
Jumbo hotdog set. I finished everything!
I love the big serving concept in 'Hou Mei' as in when you order a plate of chicken rice, it will fill your stomach up without you adding rice. Everything comes with a big serving unlike some high class restaurants.
After that, we shopped around and went 'Believe it or not'. Don't get me wrong, 'Believe it or not' is the name of the place. I didn't mean to ask you to believe me that we shopped around. Anyway, it was filled with all sorts of weird things like the pregnant statues that will make you pregnant once you touch it.
Out of all the exhibits, I like the illusion stroll (below) best.
You will walk on this black-coloured bridge through a tunnel-like passage. The wall is covered with polka dot spotlights that moves in a circular manner thereby creating a sort of illusion experience that makes the exit looks unreachable. You feel dizzy and you will notice that you cannot walk straight and tend to fall sideways while holding on to the railings.
I like my eyes.
We spent like 1 hour plus in it and after that we split into 2 teams again as they went casino.
We went over to Genting World's arcade and we saw 4 teenagers forming a team to play the basketball machine and impressed the onlookers to crowd around them. Their strategy is to score as many points as possible by landing the balls into the ring with great speed and accuracy. Apparently, the 4 of them took turns so that they don't tire themselves and were sharpshooters. They had thousands of tickets coming out from the machine which they didn't bother to tidy up and it forms a mountain-like shape.
The day ended when we finally gathered in the hotel room at night and everyone was so tired. Some of them didn't bath and went to bath immediately. I, of course, bath before sleeping.
The next day
I forgot to mention that there was a kind teacher we met at Genting. He gave us 3 morning buffet tickets because he and his class will be going off. That means we don't have to spend extra money on breakfast! (Something happened here but it is very complicated to explain. Moreover, it was my fault, so heck it. :P)
After morning buffet, we went back to hotel to pack up. We will be going KL by cable car and bus which I felt was quite exciting. The last time I took cable car was don't know when and it only cost RM $5 now. It's better than getting down the highlands by bus which rock us to death!
This is like the best travelling tools. Fast and cheap!
Someone living there.
Sorry for the sleepy eyes, haven't wake up yet.
Within minutes, we reached somewhere in the middle of the highlands where they have a bus interchange. This is the most the cable car can go to. We took a 1 hour bus ride and we reached KL! so fast!
When we reached KL, we bought the 'return back to Singapore' bus tickets first. Along the way, different bus company's agents kept asking us to book their bus. It's very irritating especially we don't understand what they are saying and they keep blocking your way. The more the agent asks, the more we don't book from them.
After booking the bus, we went to find the hotel that we will be staying. The weather and environment is totally different from Genting. We stayed at Chinatown inn which is located near Chinatown and there were lots of stalls there selling fake LVs and fake polo tees. Haha.
When we drop all our bags and luggages in the hotel, we are off to Times square. The journey there was complicated and Sc keep bringing us to wrong places. However, we cannot blame him because he seldom go there.
We had durian puffs. The inside was good but not the skin.
The skin like wanton skin.
This ice cream is made using real fruits! First, you choose your desired fruits and they will put the fruits and ice cream into a machine to squash them. They even let you see how they do it. I feel so healthy because I am eating real fruity flavoured ice creams!
We got lost here and we keep asking for direction to go to Jogoya Japanese Restaurant. This must be the real reason why we are at KL in the first place. Sc's mind is all about this when we were planning for the trip.
I will never forget the price of each pax because it's one of the most significant numbers and most expensive meals we had in Malaysia. It costs RM $101 after all the charges which is equal to SGD $41.
But it's actually quite worth it considering the fact that all their food is fresh, environment is good and ice cream from Haagen Daz. One more thing, the staffs was polite.
It's so fresh that it almost moved a bit!
The 'kiaps' that we can use to kiap on the food we want.
Don't know which animal's egg.
My sis says that Sc keep putting lots of clams inside. SO FAT!
They actually have baby coconuts as drinks!
This is as good as it looks.
Dark chocolate, chocolate fondue and tiramisu cakes.
Haagen Daz ice cream.
Mango puddings. like close up eye yolk.
fake shark's fin. I think there's a few chunks of real ones but you need to look real close.
Baked rice of that sort
It is mooncake festival on that day! I had a mini one to celebrate and there's one minty chocolate mooncake that is so nice.
We went to the toilet at the 1st storey and it was very dark inside.
The toilet is no ordinary toilet because there is someone inside that will help you on the tap and give you a towel to wipe your hands. You can give a tip but we never give and instead we ask him to help us take a picture. LOL. By the way, you can only use the tap unless there is someone triggering the on switch which explains why that 'someone' is in the toilet. I asked my sis whether is it the same over there in the girls toilet and she replied yes.
We watched fireworks. (light effects).
We took a taxi back to our hotel at RM $15 from a kind uncle. There was a group of indian taxi drivers that wanted to charge us at RM $25 and when we ask them to go by meter, they bluff us that if we want to go by meter, we must go other place to take. AND we really went there but found out that the taxi stand was no longer present.
When we reached our hotel, we quickly went to bed because we have to wake up super early the next day to get the FREE petronas twin tower's ticket to get up the bridge.
THE LAST DAY
Had breakfast at Chinatown and the people there speak Cantonese! cool!
Saw a Japanese that go around eating and trying out food. He is alone and he looks very happy to be roaming around.
We took a taxi down to KLCC and the taxi went metered. We were super happy but he kind of pretend to go a long way so that he can earn more money. Taxi drivers are always so cunning.
When we got there, there's 1000000 people queueing for the tickets and even if we managed to get the tickets, it's already way past 2pm which is our check out time for the hotel. We went to the opposite observatory tower (look like Singapore changi airport tower) which is 3km away!
We walked the great wall of china and Sahara desert before we finally reached the tower. We thought the entrance fees was RM $2 but it turned out to be RM $38!! They said they had a package which include going up the tower, nature park, animal zoo and F1 thingy. $##%$#%#&*&@
At the top of the observatory tower...
At the F1 game...
Sc purposely drive slowly so that his game will last longer.
At the Animal Zoo...
I only want the parrot but the staff add in the chameleon too.
We say this monkey got Albino.
We wanted to try the pony/donkey/horse ride but it's only for 50kg and below. I told the uncle I am 50kg+ and he asked me to stand on the weighing machine....
59.5KG
He say cannot. I say, 'can lah, I eat buffet just now'. He laughed but still shakes his head.
No picture at the Nature park. We are too hungry to take pictures already. We took a taxi back to Chinatown because we don't want to get across the great wall of China and Sahara desert on the returning trip.
We had Wanton noodles and I love it very much. I think it is the next nicest food right after the Jogoya buffet.
After that, we checked out and board the bus back to Singapore. It's quite a good experience travelling with friends and Sis.
