Updates!

Lots of things happened in this short one week. Mostly good, except that holiday is fast depleting. Watched Gamer and Aliens in Attic like don't know when. The trip to Genting and KL had been confirmed. GPA results out and I am quite satisfied with myself. FYP02 team allocation also out and I am with Zakia, Shao cheng and Andy.

But the greatest good news is...

I shall keep my fingers crossed

We also went to Qian Hu's Fish spa thanks to Hx's complementary vouchers worth $10 per session! (30 mins)

FYI, Qian Hu Corporation is founded by Kenny Yap (picture below) and is a fish company that is based in Singapore, receiving many prestigious awards.

Kenny Yap, popularly known as "Kenny the Fish"

The Fish Spa has 3 categories ranging from small, medium and big fishes.

This is the small fishes and they rocks! They cleaned up my sole and toes in-between until it sparkles in the water and rainbows emerging.

If you think the above is peanut to you, wait till you see below.

Direct translation: 'Here, Bigger the fish, bigger the excitement!'

And when I say big, it's really big. The biggest one is like the size of one foot. Their mouth is like sucker that sucked on your dead skins. At some point in time, they felt like scrubs and when the whole school of fishes attack your foot, they scrub you clean!

Like this! When you dip your foot into it, they came rushing at it!

I simply kicked them off because I couldn't take it. They just keep nibbling and nibbling the feet like as if it's theirs. All of us were shouting and it's hard to not fidget a single bit.

And lastly,

Killed Peter with a rolled up newspaper.

Buffet @ Kuishin-Bo

If you love Japanese food but thinks that the food served is always so little or not enough to fulfill your stomach, then you must definitely go to a Japanese Buffet restaurant. No point going for 'à la carte' and ended up with the same price as the Buffet deals.

And so, my sis recommended us to this Buffet eating place (Kuishin-Bo) located at Jurong point Basement 1, inside the shokutsu 10 streets filled with all sorts of Japanese restaurants like Ichiban Sushi, Kuriya Japanese Fresh Fish Market, Men-ichi, Yaki Yaki Bo and TORI-Q.

You can easily locate the eatery because of it's unique outer appearance. They placed a lot of round containers that is usually used for putting rice in them. On every round container, there is chinese word on them which I don't know how to read!?

As for the ambiance in it, I must say it's excellent. I even overheard a conversation of a group of people comparing Kuishin-Bo to Sakura and other eateries. The staffs is good at clearing plates and even the staff that helped us book the table. She is very courteous.

First thing,

I chiong-ed for the Sashimis and I can immediately tell the differences. I 'kiap-ed" the Sashimis with glee trying to look totally natural. Inside my heart, I felt like taking away the whole tray.

Notice the thickness of each slices. It is like mandarin orange, so fresh and succulent. Compare this to Sakura's Sashimis, clearly Kuishin-Bo WINS!

Different types of Tempura. Not very amazing in my opinion. A bit salty. Can make you feel very full in Buffets. If you really have to eat, try to take one of each because they are 'deep fried' (key word)

Recently I think I overcome my allergy to prawn. On this Buffet day, I eat a total of 15-20 prawns. Perhaps it is because the prawns winked at me and asked me to taste them which I bravely did. Although the first few prawns make my throat itchy but after that, it is okay already.

I was thinking, maybe if I don't eat the head part of the prawn, there will be less allergic because the head seems to be the most 'potent' part. After peeling the prawn's shell, I smelled my fingers and amazingly they didn't stinks!?

They also had chocolate fondue for us to 'play'. I remembered I pierced 2 banana slices and when I dipped into the fondue and it was left with 1 later. The person behind me seemed to notice it and I quickly run away.

Awhile later, I came back to the scene and examined the base of the fondue. I saw a lot of things in it like marshmallows, cherries and etc except they are all covered with chocolate. I heaved a sense of relief thinking that lots of other people make this mistake as well.

They also had hot plates, miso soup, congee, steamed food and even ice creams. I made a coke + vanilla ice cream and it was good! (although a lot of spills in the attempt)

To sum it up, it is currently the best Japanese Buffet I've eaten in terms of food varieties, ambiances and services. However, the price is a bit high. Dinner @ $35.90++ per person.

Every Wednesday was their ladies' night. They have other promotions as well. Lunch buffet is definitely more worth because it is only $20.90++ but food may vary.

Holiday FTW

I am harvesting my carrots in Farmville while writing this entry. It makes me feel like I can multitask. Before that I was on the phone and while I was on the phone, I asked my mum some questions. I did all these together and I am impressed by the way I managed things. (Added: I Msn too)

Monday and Tuesday, 7 and 8 September.

Went over Tb's house to stay over. Not that I am kicked out of my own house. Just a short 'get-away' from my home. I repeat, I am not quarreling with my family members.

Had Macdonald for lunch and I am extremely excited about the Mega Mac and Mega McSpicy meals going at $6 per set! However, it's only available from 11pm to 4pm. Last order at 3:45pm. Don't know when this promotion ends.

You are not imagining that the Mega Mac looks ultra elongated. Too much sesame, I would say. I prefer Mega Mac to Mega McSpicy!

Wednesday, 09/09/09

Just another normal day although the date is all made up of '9'. Some even thought of the 9:09:09am thingy which I think is a bit 'over'? Why not buy something at $9.09 and call it a day?

Anyway, I was still drooling over the Mega Mac meal yesterday and decides to have it again. That will make it 2 Mega Mac meals for 2 consecutive days. Now, isn't it more significant than the 9:09:09am/pm thingy?

Watched G-force 3D* and it was so much better than 'Up'. Probably because I was given a better 3D specs which makes my whole 3D experience more exciting. Not forgetting that G-force actually has more action scenes in it!

One thing I don't like is the kid beside me. Like siao gina like that? He moves a lot and keep doing those sex position. And when I thought he's just joking around, he started giving pornography website address to his friends. His friends froze and it makes me wonder what is the kid's upbringing like? By the way, he might be 10 years old.

There is something bad about watching animated pixel movies in cinemas these days. It attract lots of kids and they are usually annoying. But you can't blame them because it's a kid's show and why are you there to reprimand them. For all you know, you might be bitten back viciously by a kid saying, 'Childish? don't watch lor'.

The other day, something of this sort happened to my sis. We were playing badminton and we saw 2 children keeping their badminton net so that they can join in to the other court to play 2 vs 2.

We asked them if we can borrow their net for awhile and you know what the kid reply? 'You no money to buy your own?'. My sis was shocked by the reply from that little imp. My sis said 'I got money to buy but I don't play badminton often'. The rude little dwarf said 'Next time don't borrow from me again' as if the net was worth million of dollars when he only learn until the 'hundredth, tenth and ones' place in Mathematics.

My sis rolled her eyes until the white part remains like how Storm did it in X-men.

My sis replied 'THERE WON'T BE NEXT TIME' and at that moment, a lightning struck and electrocuted that little gnome who has no manners. That should teach his a lesson!

Thursday and Friday, 10 and 11 September

Finished up with Ming Zhong Zhu Ding Wo Ai Ni. (Fated to love you)

It was good! I cried a total of 7 times. Go watch it and test whether you are that heartless to not drop a tear! If you watch all the episodes and you don't cry, come and scold me!

Saturday, 12 September

Went Queensway to do some miscellaneous stuff then head over to Clementi Stadium for Dota. They have ALOHA there which is a lan gaming place where we used to visit during our secondary school days. They moved to such a ulu place! Can't wait for them to close down because we can buy their gaming computers at $400!!! lol such cheaponess.

After that, went to IMM to have Fish and Co.

New York Fish 'n Chips (Fish and Chop, chicken chips? nostalgia)

---------------------------------

And finally about the Malacca trip. It is all a misunderstanding. We are going Kuala Lumpur and not Malacca LOL! I didn't know until Shao cheng told me yesterday. Anyway, we will be going Genting first and then to KL. I am so anticipating this trip! (don't suddenly change ar)

East Coast Park

Weather hasn't been good recently. It's always raining when I am sleeping and I have to wake up in the middle of the night to close the window. And whenever I wake up, it's hard to get back to sleep. This annoys me the most when I am having a goooooood dream!

Because of the raining season, we almost cancel today's outing at ECP. We were afraid that it might rain while we are cycling. Luckily nothing of that sort happen although there is a soft drizzle in between. And because of the drizzle, cycling became very cooling.

We had this ECP outing because Mk will be enlisted in 1 week time. After him, I will be the only one left who has not entered army. 1 more week and his hair is GONE!

And I always imagine the cheapos gang outing @ ECP to be like the picture below...

But it never happen.

Washing feet. Never drink the sea water, it's too salty.

Anyway, we just went there for about 4 hours to do cycling. All our butts are so pain after cycling. Then they head over to my house for Dai dee session. My mum took over my sis after she left early for home.

Supper was leafy vegetables. Eating vegetables makes me feel healthier even though it is supper. *wink*

Some overdue photos.

Round moon taken on September 4. Was that mooncake festival? How come the moon so round?

Don't blame the child, blame YanYan.

Can't wait to cook this. Bought from Ikea.

超級星光大道 Chao Ji Xing Guang Da Dao (End of PK rounds)

Just want to bring out 3 parts of the competition which I think is very fantastic. Firstly, Rose, Liu Ming Xiang

Start watching from 7:23

Her competitor is Wang Shun Da who scored 15 marks. I am starting to love Liu Ming Xiang more and more! At first, I feel that she is very proud and she loves to make those sexy voice which is kind of 'over'. However, I am getting used to it and she sort of know how to control the times she uses it.

Liu Ming Xiang sang 'Loving you' which requires the dolphin's ultrasound. She did a good job on that with 20 marks.

Next up, Sun Zhi You singing 'You're beautiful' by James Blunt

Start watching from 3:22

His voice is definitely able to sing this song. Although the judges said that his front parts is rather flat but I love it this way. In fact, I think he is trying to bring out the causal kind of feeling which is very soothing.

For one thing, he is very sad about Zhen Zhi Song getting eliminated and they are the best buddy who travelled on the train together and 'You're beautiful' this song, also depicts two people at the subway noticing each others presence through the crowds.

In the last part, it gets very emotional. I almost cried.

This might be the end of PK rounds but next week will be all the best of the best Pkers which include Cai Ai Jia, Anthony, Huang Zhi Yang, Olivia Ong and many more. The competition is left with 6 more people and they will be starting the points accumulation rounds.

Let me make a guess, position number 6 should be Yang Jun Wen. Cheers

Jurong Safra Kbox

Went to the newly opened Jurong Safra Kbox with the usual singing khakis. Had always wanted to change places to sing rather than the old clementi kbox. This is a new experience for me as the Jurong Safra Kbox is so spacious and new! This might be the first time but definitely not my last time visiting it again.

I only know it is near Jurong point shopping centre, behind it or in front of it, I don't know.

Jurong Safra is rather 'ulu' because I've never seen the building before. Maybe that's because it is newly opened or maybe it is being blocked by the Jurong Point shopping centre. Luckily my sis drove me there or else I will have a hard time looking for the place.

We went for their K-lunch package which we think is the most worth it.

Monday and Tuesday (11-2pm): $8++
Wednesday and Thursday (11-2pm): $9++
Friday, Saturday and Sunday (11-2pm): $10++

When we entered the room that was allocated, there's vast difference to all the others kbox outlets I've visited before.

At least the sofa is not torn and the colour combination of orange and black give it a very chic look! Notice the small pink squarish thing at the corner? It's very convenient for us to adjust the mic's volumes and pitches. We had fun playing with it.

Another thing I like about Jurong Safra kbox is that they have crystal clear LCD tvs. This picture is not doing justice to the tv but thanks to it, I don't need to squint my eyes to see the words. (See sample below)

-Sample-

And finally the godly touch screen song picker machine! (anyhow named it)

I know the remote control is already a very good invention but this touch screen device is so fun. I can literally sit there the whole day pressing the thing. Usually my singing khakis will ask me to help them key in the songs that they want to sing using the remote control but I simply don't bother to. But with this touch screen device, I simply key in the songs for them and refused to budge!

Besides, if you are bored and is waiting for your turn to sing, you can play the games that can be found in it. I suggests they implement the photo hunt application since it is touch screen friendly. I might even skipped my turn to sing just to play the games.

Oh, one more thing! This device is so updated with songs that cannot be found in other kbox outlets. Imagine the frustration when you want to sing a particular song and they don't have that song on their lists. You feel like throwing the microphone onto the tv screen.

Food wise, not very impressive.

'The salad looks like grass and leaves picked up from the garden.' said my sis.
'The mango pudding can be found in the army's ration.' said Tb.
'So little, not full at all. Later go eat pizza hut.' said sis.
'I'll swap the salad sushi with your tuna sushi, wj.' said Tb.

Ws is enjoying his spaghetti which he ordered differently from us. From the way he eat, I think his tastes better.

Customer service is good. At least the staffs were observant enough to pick up small details like when you needed help in the microphone, they will come in to help without being told. That's mainly because they do routine checks by strolling in the corridors to make sure that help is delivered at the quickest time.

I guess the next time we will be visiting Jurong Safra kbox because it definitely works for me.

After singing, we went pizza hut as we are still hungry!

Soup of day. Tomato! urgh but it turns out yummy.

Being student, you need to maximise the privileges given to you. $5.90 for this and soup of the day plus free flow pepsi! (Spicy)

Non student. Curry blah blah blah baked rice.

Tomorrow is Friday and that means Chao Ji Xing Guang Da Dao is released. In the meantime, Texas Hold'em Poker and Farmville on Facebook plus Kang Xi Lai Le. Subsequent weeks, Taiwan drama marathon! (Ming Zhong Zhu Ding Wo Ai Ni & Bu Liang Xiao Hua)
