FYP is finally over!!!I can finally say goodbye to my FYP as I made the final presentation today. Although I did blanked out for 1 min during the presentation, I found my way back at the end and I think it was still quite okay. Our presentation ended in 45mins including Q&A and the accessor asked about 7-8 questions? We managed to answer them all and generally the response was good.
For now, the greatest obstacles is removed and whats now? The second wave of FYP started as soon as it ended. In fact, it started yesterday as my new members (Zakia, Shao cheng and Andy) made the selection online, together. We made sure that there is no PHP or any form of coding in tact.
I also made my module selection on Tuesday night and that will determined my next semester modules. To conclude, those were the important choices that I have made which will affect my next semester.
Of course there are other things like Nafa and CE points which I worry about but when one major task is cleared off, we need a celebration! The celebration is easy and that is to rest. Several ideas were generated like swimming, sleeping whole day, Habbo-ing, eating, watch youtube all day, go KL or Malacca with sis and Sc, catch a movie with besties, go watch firework with cheapo gang (To be confirmed) and many more.
Right after FYP today, we took shots to remember our glorious moments. We wore formal and I looked extremely weird in it. We even did a jump shot like we were mad or something.
TCH team
Huang and Tan
Choo and Huang
Stop pointing me middle finger!!
Anyway, nice working with the team despite several procrastination from Teresa and Choosie, we managed to pull through it. They secretly think they can get A grade for their FYP and boast about it all day long. Not for me though, I am extremely okay with a B :)
That's all for today. Tomorrow, school's giving out free fruits, so must chiong down to South agora for it or else others grab them alllllll. Cheapo gang, see you there!
Swimming is fun, but tiring...
Just came home from swimming and I am now completely exhausted. Typing became a difficulty as I am so sleepy and full now. I had to wait for my hair to dry before I go to bed as I just had a bath. You know this is what happen when you come back from a swim. Let me do a quick summary as to what happen in this week.
Monday, 20 JulyDidn't go school because two of my classmates didn't want to go to school. It's probably because we will be changing teams but I went along with the idea because I had never skipped Marketing before and this give me a chance to clear my "leave".
Tuesday, 21 JulyMeet up with Shao cheng to go school together but when he arrived at the control station, I saw an
aura that he is reluctant to go to school. I quickly proposed this idea that we skipped school for the day and do FYP somewhere together. He agreed to the idea as my prediction were correct.
We went to Jurong point's Starbucks and sat there with ice blended coffee from 12 to 6pm. I bet we made our money worthwhile because there's free wireless and electricity.
Wednesday, 22 JulyWent to Jurong East library at 12pm to do FYP. Teresa and choosie only arrived at 2.30pm. Time seemed precious as the FYP submission is on Monday. Lots of things were still undone and we will be meeting our Advisor for the final advice tomorrow.
Luckily we managed to do a lot and the website was almost done. Report was halfway there but it's near to closure. Can't believe we stayed till 7.30pm but anyhow, we made it possible.
Thursday, 23 JulyThis is yet another busy day whereby lesson's reqirements were aplenty. Need to do printing and whats not. And again, the day went by because of my favourite team mates who was doing most of the things and helped me a lot. After lesson, we immediately rushed to UT.
When I thought the day could end with the UT but after UT was meeting with our advisor. We are so afraid that we will be the worst team but luckily our advisor didn't scold us. In fact, he made us feel that we had already passed the FYP and achieved an A grade.
We immediately went for a celebration at causeway point and shouted "YAY". We treated ourselves to Sakae and eat to our heart's content.
I ate 3 red plates because Teresa and choosie were afraid to eat raw food. (Most, if not all the red plates were raw!)
For this buffet, I mostly eat Sashimi.
Friday, 24 JulyIt was raining in the morning but when I left my house for school, the rain stopped. Lovely. Lesson on Friday was always stressful. The only motivation to get through the lesson is the Big sweets land machine in West mall.
After school, Sis came to fetch me and we played the sweets machine. Won a total of 4 jackpots and made the total count of the stamps to 22!
Ok, I shall stop here. My hair dry up already.
Swensen 1 for 1 lunch set deal!I always walk past Swensen many times feeling curious as to why so many people are queueing up at the entrance. Then I thought those people are queueing up because it is Friday after work and most people are giving themselves a treat for getting through the hectic week. Today, when I went there again in the Monday afternoon, still, there is alot of people queueing! (I ponteng today, opps)
Then I figured out why so many people are queueing for...
I must have been a frog in the well to be left out on this amazing promotion that happens in the weekday! I can any-o-how grab a best pal or anyone to enjoy this treat whereby we split the cost by 2 when the bill comes.
I of course went with my sis and she treated me! Here comes the kiasu part. Since it is 1 for 1 whereby they will charge you for the most expensive set and the second one comes free, I ordered Sirloin steak ($20+).
Very angry. I took a picture of my Sirloin steak but it was broken image and hence I need to use the web image which was pixelated and blurry.
The best is that my sis order something that is either same as mine or more expensive but she cannot eat beef due to some reasons and the other non-beefy food item doesn't cost much. So she settled for Crayfish pasta which was cheaper and considered the free set.
We also ordered Waffle dreams...
All I left is this photo.
Anyway, it is a good deal because for every set you order, you can find someone to share the
pain cost with you. This will be the best period to order those $20+ food item which you think is too expensive for a lunch.
PS: Win a jackpot before going for Swensen (current stamps: 18)
Thursday, 16 JulyWatched Harry potter and the half blood prince with Tb, Sis and Sis's husband (Ah peng) I noticed I kept saying sis's husband which is rather weird!
I purposely chose this movie poster because I think this movie is about Dumbledore dying. Love scenes aplenty and not forgetting some crazy girl that loves to burn houses. The movie lasted about 2.5 hours but I think it is still worth watching because you need this part to watch the next part. No point watching it at some websites or dvd because the quality is saddening.
Before going for the movie, I really had to thank Zakia and Andy for guiding me in CS2. I just love it to the maximum! Now I love Thursday's lesson more!
16 july's catch.
1 jackpot only.
Friday, 17 JulyThe most anticipated Friday came but had to wake up at 6am in the morning for the Nafa program in school. Luckily I managed to get through it despite the reluctance. I felt a sense of relief. After school, sis came to fetch me and we played the "Big sweets land" machine. Won 3 jackpots and off we go.
Did you see the black mickey mouse coin purse at the right hand corner? 1 auntie is kind enough to give it to us after we complained that she caught all of it away!
Lots of goodies, I swear we are getting better and better at it.
Lollis, who wants? (not nice 1)
Saturday, 18 JulyWent to Tampines one. It was our first visit there. It was super crowded around 7pm. All the aunties and uncles come out to window shop after their dinners but never buy things, block people etc. The most happiest thing was to eat at this Japanese restaurant because it was spacious the whole time.
This restaurant is unique in a way that they give you a card when you enter. You walk around the restaurant to pick your food. Once you decide on the food to eat, swipe your card and it will be credited. When you are about to leave, pay your bills at the counter with the card.
Cons:
-Lose the card and pay $100, considering the fact that the card is so tattered and torn.
-You don't know how much you eat and keep swiping at your own expenses.
This is the most worth food item to order in the restaurant if you are feeling hungry. $11.80 if I am not wrong. The omelette contains huge fillings of rice and the brown brown thing beside the omelette is actually beef minced meat. It also comes with 2 shrimp sticks and addition of $1 to get a soup of the day.
Grapefruit and orange cake. It gives a whole new taste bud by combining bitter and sweet sensation.
This precious little thing is $7.80 per slice. $75 for the whole cake. Addition of $1 for a cup of tea. (who cares about tea?)
Sides, $2.50 per sticks.
Unagi. really boneless.
Salmon. The concept of the last two dish is like Yong tau foo stall. They placed the raw meat in a laid-out fashion and you just have to pick it yourself. Of course choose the beautiful and big one lah. Don't choose those that lose a slice of salmon skin or those that get poke by the tongs badly one lah.
After the meal, we shop around and we were so tired by the whole travelling thing.
Tb, Hx and Ws came to my house for Dai dee session.
A new found love in arcades
It had been many days since I last posted anything. The reason was because there were no Internet connection at all. I need to connect many times and after a few minutes, it gets disconnected again. I spent hours just trying to submit a RJ. Hate it. Nevertheless, some photos while I was M.I.A!
Mos burger with Sis at Tiong bahru plaza. Love the thick layered tomato!
Timothy and his girlfriend :)
The catch of Tuesday, 7 July.
Pour the sweets into an A4 paper box to show how much sweets there was!
We went to West mall almost everyday to play the "push-sweets-machine".
We can't wait for Friday to come because during Friday, there is a promotion of 1:1 offer! That means if you top up $50, you will get another $50 FREE!
It gets extremely crowded during Friday because that is when you will meet all the "push-sweets-machine" experts. They sit at the machine 24/7 swiping their credits non-stop just to win the jackpot!
For your information, we are now a proud gold card owner at Timezone. Gold cards are entitled one free game everyday if the card contain at least $20 in it. The criteria to change to gold card is to accumulate 100 points which means $100. The next one is platinum which requires 2000 points and you guess it right; $2000! The priviledge is that you are entitled 2 free games everyday. (More about the stamps later)
When Friday's lesson finally came to an end, I chiong out of the school to meet my sis! We had Mayim for Dinner. Something hard got into my teeth and it hurts badly.
After that, we played "Push-sweets-machine" and we got 1 jackpot! Steal their Lilo and stitch blanket and ran away! LOL
Here's timothy playing with the blanket while falling down multiple times.
Saturday, 11 JulyMorning was K box session with Sis, Ws and Tb. Then afternoon, we all went seperate ways. Saw some mushrooms along the way!
Then we went to West mall again. We was so afraid that the staffs might remember us for stealing their lilo and stitch blanket but they didn't! We got a total of
8 JACKPOTS for that day!
Oh ya, about the stamps earlier. Each stamp is equal to 1 jackpot. For every jackpot, you can either choose to get a stamp or a gift like the Lilo and stitch blanket that we stolen (opps!) The accumulated stamps can be exchanged for bigger prizes like Iphones, Fans, Rice cooker, camera, Mini fridge, Asus Laptop, and many more, just to name a few. Each of this item requires a certain amount of stamps to be exchange and the more expensive ones require more stamps of course!
The catch of the 8 jackpots day!
The exclusive items + a few chocolates
Mickey mouse shape coin purse. The book on the top left hand corner is not inclusive!
So why are you waiting for? Join in the craze and get addicted to the "Push-sweets-machine"!
PS: So it's called Big sweet land machine.
Thursday, 2nd JulyMeet up with Shao Cheng at West Mall, 2:30pm. Was a bit late because I saw my dad at the bus stop and kind of missed a bus. Anyway, I was late but we met earlier because the Sakae buffet starts at 3pm. We also need to wait for my Sis because she is joining us but she only reached at about 3:15pm. So, we play photo hunt to kill some time.
Anyway, this is sort of a compromise treat because I am supposed to treat him to Sakura but I was confused at that time, maybe a bit tipsy due to alcohol (He spite my drink!), and I thought Sakura was Sakae. Most of the people know that Sakura is more expensive than Sakae and the always cautious me, made the biggest mistake about money issues! Argh.
Luckily we negotiate a bit and finally he agrees with the Sakae idea. Since both of us love sashimi so much, we decided to
NOT eat anything before we go to the buffet. Now it begins...
Kudos to Shaocheng for the photos!
Love the tails; they look like 2 pair of legs
This was my Red plate choice - I love the cheesy sauce!
Siap siap taste
Get the ginger OFF.
Allergic to this, always makes my throat itchy.
Spicy.
Salmon avocado, weird combination. Also, this avocado taste like cucumber.
Sis's red dish. Purposely chose prawn because I am allergic to it...
Dry, awful and bony sums it up well.
Looks like snails, endless biting sensation.
Love the tofu and Unagi.
All of us ordered it out of convenience.
Dessert, brain freeze effect from the vanilla ice cream in it
Extra tail given, thx chef!
Don't you think it looks like turtle, head to head?
My love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Drooling already
Shao cheng's red plate.
He finished all! Never ask whether we want or not.
PS: I am so tired after all the ctrl C and ctrl V of codes.
P also S: Not rather happy about the long waiting time of delivering the ordered food!
